That was the Preliminary round though, maybe it's 5 for elimination games?

I remember in the past it being 5.

That could be since the OT is longer. I don't like the 5 round myself because it changes the outcome too much.

A rule change that was approved in May apparently.

I must respectfully disagree. Russia had their moments but USA definitely played better for the majority of the game.

I think it was a close game for sure but IMO Russia had the edge all game long.

Ingram deserved the start but also deserved to be pulled. He was just never ready. Hart though so far is putting on quite the performance. It's one goal and Sandstrom hasn't been perfect in the tournament either.

Ya Hart has come in to a difficult spot and is making the saves he needs to with no rebounds.

Pretty good game though. Back and forth and very high pace.
