99% would disagree with you.

Pretty dumb of the Swedish coach to not use Dahlin and now lean on him so heavily.

Again wrong.

A quick read of the GDT's especially over the last couple games against good competition shows people seeing the same thing I am.

He's hanging onto the puck way too long, far to often and creating some bad turnovers because of it.

Juulsen getting a lot of credit from Ferraro tonight and I'm not agreeing. He's been better than some other games but I still think he's been pretty bad tonight. He made two good plays (which I remember) and laid some big hits but he's made more bad plays than good from what I've seen.

He's been a rock in his own end

That'll do it. Canada has been great since the 1st period.

Jost picks up an assist.

Strome and Barzal have been the most frustrating guys to watch for me. They put up the points against the weaker teams but have done jack **** lately, especially 5v5.

Barzal has been fine to me, presses a bit but he makes enough happen. Dubois should get credit for playing well tonight, he did a lot of heavy lifting for his line.

Absolutely agree.

Ingram obviously sucked but I hope the boys give him a hug and let him realize has as much a part of the team as anyone. Must suck to be that kid right now. Give him a tap, make him happy and let him enjoy the gold medal game from the bench.

Ingram was the best goalie for Canada up until this game then it all fell apart of course. I'm really happy Hart played up to his potential. It sucks as a goalie when you know you're better than how you're doing but nothing seems to be working.

Hart came in and really shut things down for the Swedes. Really good performance for him.

Going to have to disagree with this statement. Sweden sleepwalked throughout the game, completely horrible showing by them.

Majority of their shots were floating wristers or slapshots from the point with little to no traffic, easy for Hart to save. Ingram is just totally out of playing ability in this type of tournament, let two flukes in for a pathetic Swedish team, which did not look prepared.

Deserved to lose this game.

For me Carter Hart played an important role in the first period. Hart was nearly perfect in the 1st period where Sweden had their best chance to put the game away. There wasn't a single shot against in the first period where Hart didn't either gain possession of it or put it in the corner. Sweden was getting no extra opportunities which allowed Canada to regroup enough to counter attack consistently.

After the first period though it was all Canada and all Hart had to do was play decent hockey. Sandstrom was under seige far more than Hart ever was in the last two thirds of the game. Wonder who Sweden goes with tomorrow, Gustvasson or Sandstrom?

How can you possibly disagree with it.

I literally posted a fact, it can't be disputed.

He came in and Sweden scored 0 goals. That's shutting them down and allowing good goals is a good game regardless of the quality of shots he faced.

I didn't say he stole the game for anything and yes Canada absolutely deserved to win the game. But he did come in and shut down Sweden. That's a fact.

Sweden didn't play a great game, but Canada played fantastic and Hart made timely key saves when needed. Was a combination of all three IMO

Werner :sarcasm:

Sweden is the perennial 2nd or 3rd place team. It's always they are so structured, their D is amazing and then their offense never shows up when it matters. They'll prob win tomorrow because Russia won't give two poops about winning bronze.

This is Sweden's own fault. They should have played Werner, even though I've never watched him play before.

Would be nice to see Jost win something because its going to be a long ass time before he wins anything with the team that drafted him lol. On the real it would be cool to see our last two 10OA picks win gold back to back years.

Robin or anyone else who has seen Dahlin play who does he remind you of? From the very limited minutes he's played here on the puck he kinda looks like Doughty. Similar stature and has that Skoula puck poise. Not afraid to jump up in the play but what gets me the most is his calming presence.
