I like it when Jost is moving and driving to the net. Not so much of when he backs off and has his stick in the air looking for a one-timer.

Y'all talk about Strome but I think Dubois has been almost equally disappointing.

I think this is very situational and linemate dependent. I'm ok with it personally. I like that he tries different ways to contribute, instead of just playing one way. I think that has been an issue for guys like Nate and Duchene, though Dutchy has finally gotten better at it.

Man when is canada going to have a goalie just make the saves they need to. It seems like its been forever since they had one .

It's tough for a goaltender to be hot when he faces 3 shots a period. USA are by far the best team they've played and even they averaged less than 7 shots per period

Montreal is basically kicking themselves out of any future IIHF events. Very disappointing attendance figures in today's game and just overall. I get it that Montreal is more of a Habs city than a hockey city, and if that's the case, they shouldn't be getting anymore IIHF games IMO.

Yeah, I had a lot of debates last year with other WHLers about Bean. Thought he would be the next Shea Theodore, personally I was never was a fan of him. Good skating and passing ability, but that's pretty much it.

Ingram's lack of puckmoving ability is really hindering Canada's movement out of the zone. Especially with a defencive core this weak for Canada (probably the weakest I've seen). I would be shocked if Canada somehow made it to the gold medal game, I just don't see enough solid goaltending or game breaking talent to keep the momentum on their side for a full sixty minutes.

Ticket prices are ridiculous though. I wouldn't buy a ticket at the cost that they're priced at either.

What is the average price?

I totally get that, but for a hockey craze city like Montreal is, you would expect it to be sold-out even if the ticket prices are ludicrous.

I love Jost but his lack of strength is evident in this tournament. Continuously getting outmuscled.

I have to disagree.

I've only seen a few plays where this was an issue. The one that just happened was one but it was because he had nowhere to go with the puck and the bigger guy with a head of steam slammed into him and broke the puck loose.

There have been quite a few plays where he's battled his way through a lot of contract down low. His bigger issue IMO has been trying to develop chemistry with his changing line mates.

In comparison, I thought Compher was in a much tougher spot physically than Jost.

The prices are stupid expansive as much as a hab ticket would cost or a leaf ticket. It should go back to smaller cities like Ottawa,Sask or Regina.

Jost just battled through two attempts in a row to rub him out along the boards and came out with the puck behind the net. No strength issues there.

Jost has also seriously just played damn near as many games with team Canada as he's played all year at North Dakota.

That's an interesting point. Wonder if he's running out of steam a bit not being used to playing this much. He's still working hard, but he's missing a bit of execution.

I think he played 5 exhibition games too. And the North Dakota coach already said he's expected to play on Friday/Satfor them. That's 5 games in a week, maybe they'll back off of that.
