Politics man, Strome is a Canadian household name and was drafted 3rd overall. Jost forwent Canada's junior system for America's college which made him basically play tier II juniors in remote places like Salmon Arm, Merritt, Powell, and Trail.

Touche cgf. But Greer, Morrison, and Greenway sounds much better than Greer and Morrison.

Strome should have never been picked #3 overall. Thought it back then and I am even more convinced now.

Arizona should have just traded the #3 overall for ROR or Duchene.

Avs could have drafted Hanifin and everyone would be better off now :P.

Oh well...

after watching the Slovakia - Russia game I hate Minnesota even more, Kiril Kaprizov is looking like a future top line winger, next Kucherov.

At least Jost will get ice time, even if it is with mister overrated playing center.

Honestly, that Dubois-Roy-Gauthier line has no excuse for not dominating. That is a seriously physically imposing and talented line. If they suck it up and don't show much intensity, it's not gonna look good.

I really like what I've seen from Dube. Not a big guy but really like the way he plays. Quick and shows a lot of heart. The kind of guy that generates a lot of momentum for a team, and can be a big game X factor. I think he would fit in great with the Avs style of play, I'd like to see them try to pry him out of Calgary somehow. Maybe add some offense and puck posession to a bottom 6 or tweener role.

I mean, I like that Jost is getting a feature spot, but Strome literally floats around more than Greg. I watched the third period of the US game and it was basically McLeod and Jost on the forecheck and puck pursuit, they would get it to Strome who would immediately throw a low percentage lob pass to the opposition.

Great. So now when that line ultimately fails, we'll have panels and the main boards complaining that Jost and whoever dragged him down. Cause Strome is line the new Manning or whatever without the success.

Strome has looked bad but he still has 8 points in 4 games. Something to be said for being opportunistic on the PP.

Strome got 4 of those against Latvia. I know it goes every WJC these guys get thrown under the bus and it ruins their reputation, so it's not really fair to any of them. But they really are forcing it to try to make it work with Strome.

Sweden have players with wicked shots. Joel Eriksson-Ek and Lias Andersson in particular.

Denmark totally deserved to lose that game.

That was a game where they looked so slow and a step behind every single play. This Russian team is also very unimpressive, like Denmark, they look so slow to board battles and odd-man rushes.

Sweden stopped playing second half of the second period and it could have cost them. Even if you are up 5-0, you have to respect your opponents.

Sweden hasn't truly been tested yet, Group A was weaker than expected. It's a really well-balanced team tough.

Sweden have done well recently but fall just short of the gold.

Button is a big fan of Nico lol

Speaking of Swiss are down 2-0 but Nico's active stick is impressive. Always fishing for the puck and usually positioned in the right spot.

Oh my god, Hischier might have just overtaken Patrick in my book with that goal he just scored. What a move. :amazed:

Clutch moment too. Down 2-0 in the second. They get a PP and he puts one in the net all by himself.
