The other J. Anderson, who we could have drafted, also looks pretty good out there.

That Samsonov is keeping Russia in this, should be like 5-1 by now

also : we got our work cut out for us. Not that playing in this tourney is the end all be all
but it feels every time a player makes a good play.. he 's a Wild draft choice, a Blues draft choice and so forth

Samsonov looked good in the first period, second period he's losing his cool a bit. Losing track of the puck that resulted in the 2nd goal and the poor decision making on the 3rd goal (and all tournament long from him) has caused Samsonov to lose his own composure a bit. He looks a bit frustrated out there because he knows it's not completely his fault but he knows he really does need to be better. He needs to start making that save that makes the difference. Hasn't done it yet so far.

Kylington has great physical tools but I'm not sure he's got enough hockey smarts to turn into a good player. He seems to play with blinders on.

I'm not sure if that was the reason he kept dropping or if it was something else.

What's all this talk about Samsonov...didn't Carolina draft him?

This is amusing to me because it was in the first round and Samsonov is almost exactly like Varlamov. There's a very similar style of play, talent level, and just general speed. Varly though is the better puck handler and Samsonov is more open with just how confident he is on the ice,

I didn't think Varly could be the better puck handler over anyone at this level

Samsonov is possibly one of the worst puck handlers I've ever seen and it's a lot because he believes he's great at puck handling when his decision making is just terrible. At least Varly limits his mistakes whereas Samsonov just loves to think he's Ovi out there.

Eriksson-Ek has been very impressive for Sweden. Sucks he's a Wild prospect.
