WJC: 2017 Canada Roster Talk - Part 2

No easy cuts for Canada at forward. I think that McLeod is most likely, then maybe between Senyshyn or Speers. Guessing that Brisebois and Clague are out on defence.

I don't think they cut Senyshyn or else this will be a very light weight team
 
The Isles didn't release Niederreiter or Bailey when they were eligible as well

For cuts I think: McNiven, Clague, Brisebois, McLeod, and Speers/Senyshyn? Hard to say who the final cut will be
 
Hope that McLoed make team . Nobody can skate like him and bright other aspect at team , often if not the most skilled .

I'm guessing that Steel wasn't 100% from his shoulder injury suffered a few weeks ago. Thought he was a lock to make the team, and he looked really good in the first scrimmage.

I watched it on RDS.

Also a little surprised at Steel.

Another cut just announced...............Synyshn cut also, probably spelled his name wrong.

that is it for forwards, 2 d-men to go yet.

Yeah I'm pretty shocked with Steel, but every year there are good players left off. Nature of the beast with Team Canada.

Steel is on fire right now, I thought he was good against the U Sports team and he has 48 points in 23 games so far. He's 18, so he should be a favourite to make next years team if he's not in the NHL.

Who looked good in the game?

Could it be they cut girard due to his size? As this is not a heavy team
What type of team do these final cuts tell you? Is it what you thought?
Is this a fast team? I see no cycle team here. I see a fast team with fast defense

Any thoughts please
 
35 pts in 23 game , defensemen .... Best package of skill of all deff there with Chabot . Know the guys personally , he's a real gentleman . Sad to not see him play this Christmas and show that is special player . Mark my word , Girard will be a game changer in NHL . Maybe i'm biased because Girard is my favorite prospect but....i dont what think about it . Love Clague too but Girard man...Not even close to me
