The Bruins are pretty safe now, even if they lose to Tampa. Tampa is basically done. They have an outside chance of catching Ottawa, who I think is icing a Major Junior D corps at this point, but you have to think even they will win a couple of their remaining games. If anyone falls out though, it's likely to be them.

Just don't want the Bruins to get corky with this mentality. They still need to clinch and every game should be must win until they do.

I'll be happy to see the Bruins in the PO's again, summer is to long to live without hockey like the last two seasons. I love summer don't get me wrong but it's better with some hockey in it.

beat TB tomorrow and Ott and we are in

Easier said than done...TB is going to play like its a game 7

Worst kind of ending will be if The Bruins lose the next 3

and tampa and leafs somehow win/build enough points to sneak their way in

If they loose 3 in a row at home they don't deserve to get in.

If they just beat Tampa tomorrow they are in. Tampa would be 6 back with 3 games remaining. If they tied BOS, BOS gets in because of ROWs.

Naturally I want them to beat TB and OTT and get in the Atlantic bracket.

Looking at Ottawa's remaining games (5) I think they end up at 95 points. @DET, DET, @BOS, NYR, @NYI. They probably split with DET, lose here, lose to NYR, beat NYI.

I`m horrible at this stuff, if our boys win tomorrow are they in for sure?

Yes, The B's would have 94 points with 80 games played and 44 Wins.

The Bolts would have 88 points with 79 games played and 39 Wins.

If the Bolts ran the table after that they would only get 94 points but have less Wins.

Right here today, these are the games that matter to the Bruins. Obviously as the week progresses, this will change. I'm including all teams that are still in the race, even if their chances are remote.

Monday

Ottawa @ Detroit
Toronto @ Buffalo

Tuesday

Tampa Bay @ Boston
Detroit @ Ottawa
Washington @ Toronto
Carolina @ Minnesota
Islanders @ Nashville

Wednesday

NONE

Thursday

Islanders @ Carolina
Ottawa @ Boston
Tampa Bay @ Toronto

Friday

Tampa Bay @ Montreal

Saturday

Rangers @ Ottawa
Washington @ Boston
Islanders @ New Jersey
Pittsburgh @ Toronto
St. Louis @ Carolina

Sunday

Buffalo @ Tampa Bay
Ottawa @ Islanders
Columbus @ Toronto
Carolina @ Philadelphia

Should make for an exciting week. My guess is we won't know Boston's exact fate until Sunday night. We may know before that if they are in, but we likely won't know their final placement/playoff opponent.

I'll come to you
Call me selfish, but I want Boston to beat Toronto in round 1, Montreal in round 2, Pittsburgh in round 3 and the Oilers in the final. After that, I'll have a cigarette

I would like to see Tampa still in the hunt ( not at our expense ) on Thursday when they play the Leafs so they will play hard . In order for that to happen one of Ottawa or the Leafs would have to stumble in their upcoming two games , particularly if the Bruins beat Tampa tomorrow.

Switch out the Penguins for Ottawa and do the full Canada beatdown tour.

I never eat KFC, but last weekend we were driving by one on the way home from my son's hockey game, and my wife said how about KFC for something different. We got one of the "family meals", bucket of extra crispy tenders, sides of potato wedges and mac & cheese, and another side of biscuits.

I don't know what they use for meat, but it was delicious. The only side effect was a minor heart attack afterwards...no big deal.
