So 9 games lost for there 6 leading scorers

Wow good luck from them. That's amazing... Wonder how the long schedule will take it's toll on the younger kids? So far they've shown no sign of slowing down

And to think it only took their longest winning streak of the year to turn it around.

Who cares? The big takeaway is that they responded. The last two years, when **** went sideways, they folded and went home. This year, they didn't. Regardless of what it took. Would you have preferred to miss the playoffs again this year instead?

I'll be honest, I was at the game in EDM when they lost 7-4 and thought it had the feel of the beginning of a 8 game losing streak. I admit that i thought that because of what they did the past 2 seasons, but this has been a good turn around.

Without that coaching change I don't think they snap out of that streak.

After the last couple years, I'm not counting the chickens until they're hatched, butchered, and sitting in KFC.

Based on the sheer number of home games they have to close this season out, I think it's a very safe bet that this doesn't ever happen under Claude if he's still here...

Stars collapsed in the 3rd, 3 disallowed goals for the game, lost 6-3. It makes Tuesday that much more important for us.

Wow. I thought 95% was high, but I'm trying to figure out the doomsday scenarios for the Bruins. It's tough to get them out of the playoffs.

Let's say the Bruins get 0/6 points. That means the Leafs and Sens have to win 1 out of 5 games each, and Tampa has to get 5/8 points in non-Bruin games. I can see the Bruins bombing exactly like that, and the Leafs and Sens passing them. Tampa just won their game tonight (who jinxed them *cough cough*), so it's now TBL needing 3/6 points against a TOR/MTL back-to-back and BUF if we crap the bed.

It just FEELS like it's more than 5% likely to happen. Bruins bombing happens 12.5% of the time, all things being equal. And Tampa should be about 50-50 to get 3/6, giving a little over 6%. But that doesn't include the Bruins getting a non-TBL point or two, and Tampa still climbing over us.

Or maybe I still have the scars from the last two seasons.

Of note: Apparently the Bruins aren't confident in our holding the A2 position. They're only selling games 1-3 of the first round - no game 4.

Win Tuesday still locks us in, right? Would give us 94 points, Tampa would have 88 with 3 games left. We've clinched the tiebreaker.

Not only am expecting PO's at this point but I think our travels will take us to Ontario. Ottawa I'm hoping ( close to Montreal and you can actually get ticket without
mortgaging the house) but I think it'll be Toronto where it's about as far as Boston and good luck finding a ticket, and when you do, call the banker 1st.

A win on Tuesday against TBL isn't quite enough. It's got to happen in 60 minutes.

If we win in OT/SO, TBL can still get 7/8 points in the four games currently remaining (including that one), for 95. We would have 2 points from our win, and assuming we lose down the line, we'd have 94 total. If TOR and OTT also pass us, with MTL staying ahead, we're fifth in the division, and out.

The problem as I see it is we've only got three chances to advance. Of course, the good thing is...we've only got three games to play. There's absolutely no reason our top players shouldn't be playing their best. Every other team in the race has a back to back. Every other team in the race will be boarding airplanes for home/away games - the Bruins won't be at Hanscom AFB for another 10 days or so, hopefully.

The Bruins need to end this Tuesday. I expect a hungry, fast, determined Bruins group to step out on that Garden ice.

Ironically the Bruins are in exactly the same situation they were in 2 years ago with a 5 game winning streak except this time the final 3 are at home.

Tuesday night is going to be a war as Tampa Bay's limited options necessitates winning in Boston on Tuesday.
