Don't like to say this, but the Leafs are better than the Oilers. Their offence definitely better distributed than ours.

At the moment sure. Their defense still is kind of bad. They have Hainsey as their top pairing guy.

Also there is more to hockey than pure offense.

It's way too early to be proclaiming the Leafs better than us. They look impressive, no doubt, but the horses should be held until they play a team with a goaltender that can stop the puck or one who doesn't look lost defensively in their own end. Winnipeg and New York isn't exactly an impressive measuring stick.

Agreed. Toronto is playing well but Winnipeg and New York have played awful defensively against them so far.

This is a very reactionary post. The teams are completely different, hard to compare. The Leafs have a lot more skill and play a faster game, the Oilers are more sound defensively and more physical. Apples and oranges really.

OV scored another hat trick? Damn. The demise of OV and the Blackhawks look to be greatly exaggerated at this very early juncture.

Leafs offence is impressive have to admit. Their secondary guys actually score instead of making excuses. Hopefully Yamo pans out for us, I think he will. Holy crap at Ovy too lol.

Just saw the highlights of Ovi's goals. Dude looks as good as ever. Be interesting to see if he can keep it going for most of the season. Could be a special campaign if he does and I doubt anybody keeps up in the Rocket chase.

Right now, the Leafs are outscoring their mistakes. That will not last.

The true measure of how good a team is comes when you stop scoring 4-5 goals per game, and can still win.

It's like what Todd said after last game. "Last year we were out scoring our mistakes at the start, this game we didn't make mistakes to outscore"
