Khovanov 2, Svechnikov - 1+1, Rotenberg 1

Russia - Canada White 4-0 so far. One of Khovanov's goals was very funny.

4-1, Canadians scored a PP goal.

Russia needs to keep its talent at home. That was the difference here. A team not quite clicking as well as it should be.

Somebody tell Eliteprospects to fix their stats. Both Khovanov and Svechnikov missed a game.

Svechnikov and Khovanov are both very special talents. Although Svechnikov chose to leave for the USHL it is nice to see him playing on the NT.

i'd put denisenko above khovanov who is a bit small and slow. svechnikov should challenge for the first spot at the draft easily.

Other then the top line, Maxim Denezhkin, who is still 15, was also impressive. Okhotyuk is also just 15 and also impressed. Both goalies, Miftakhov and Isaev were excellent.

Svechnikov is indeed gifted, but he will be just another has-been by next year.

Quite possible since he may go to the CHL next year. He came at 16 whereas his brother came at 18. Hopefully he will realize he is above junior hockey and try for 2-3 years in VHL/KHL system starting next year.

I bet he hopes to become 1st OA and get to NHL at age 18. And his rights belong to Ak Bars, so no chances he'll play in the KHL under coach Bill as 17 yo. He's got better chance to play in the NHL.

Went to sleep in the 2nd period, guessing there's no way to see the rest of the game?

Anyway, great win for this team. I was surprised to see how good our forwards were, no superstar but clearly some of them have some talent. Also nice to see Boqvist having a strong tournament and scoring the GWG, good comeback after some injury issues this season.

As far as I understand, there were almost all the best 00 born players at the tournament, and Svechnikov and Khovanov were obviously the two best players. I don't think Veleno is on their level, and as to that Swedish defender, playing in the SHL, we shall see.

Very nice to take three consecutive wins against NA competition, I wonder if that has ever happened before(obv. most tournaments only have 2 NA teams, but anyway).
