I just dont see how Duchene makes this team.

Marchand, Thornton and Giroux all have earned spots, but Duchene has been inconsistent at times. I also just dont see where he fits.... in Sochi he was the healthy scratch until Tavares got hurt, and even then didnt really mesh on the 4th line.

I just think Perry should be here ahead of Duchene. We have enough centers as it is.

They needed wingers and Perry/Hall didn't make it? surprising.

Good for Thornton/Giroux.

Muzzin beat out some huge names, he wasn't even on my radar. I'll be pissed if he gets big minutes cuz they latch him onto Doughty's hip

Some hilariously baffling decisions by both Canada and USA.

I'll be right there with rest of you cheering for the U-24 team, I assume.

I don't mind the Muzzin pick but Bouwmeester is still playing as solid as he did 2 years ago and he has chemistry with Pietrangelo. Duchene and Giroux add speed, two-way, and skill to the team, I like those choices. Perry isn't needed, he's not fast enough and we have guys who can play infront of the net like Marchand, Benn, Carter, and Toews who also add other elements.

I agree, although at least Canada can make a couple bizarre selections and still be favored to win so it doesn't matter a whole lot.

USA on the other hand...

I get that Thornton had a great season and playoffs, but did we really need another C?

Which one of Crosby, Toews, Tavares, and Getzlaf is playing wing? We also have Giroux, Bergeron, Seguin who are all already natural C's moved to the wing.

Would much rather have seen a natural winger (Hall, Perry) make it instead.

And Muzzin over Giordano, Brodie is pretty questionable as well.

Nah trust me. Bouwmeester has gone way downhill the past two seasons. He shouldn't be anywhere near a tournament like this.

Some huge mistakes but they'll still probably win the tournament.

Has anybody actually watched Shea Weber play over the last 3-4 years, or does he just get included by default?

I'm baffled about the decisions of the USA, but what don't you agree about with Canada? I'm shocked about Muzzin making the team.

So Canada prioritize which way the D shoots rather than BPA? Makes sense... not.

It does if you've watched either of the last 2 Olympics. Subban, Burns, Letang, Pietrangelo all shoot right there was no chance all of them would make it.

Not that I agree with Muzzin being selected. IMO Brodie and Giordano would have been better choices that shoot left.

I'd take quite a few more dmen over Muzzin, but it's nice to have a pairing that shoots left and right. If Keith or Vlasic gets hurt, we're stuck with one lefty and 6 righties.

As a Blues fan and a Canadian, I am extremely glad Bouwmeester did not make the team.

I think leaving Subban off just to have L-R pairings is really odd. I think leaving Perry off (and bringing 0 natural RW's) is totally out of left field. And I think bringing Marchand/Duchene over Hall is questionable at best.

If I'm Hall I've got some pretty pointed words for Hockey Canada if they ever called me to play in the Worlds again.

Honestly Muzzin over Subban is probably the most glaring one.
