Pulkkinen used the space really well on that goal. Noticed that the guy marking the pass had his back turned to him, so he immediately surged forward and got open.

And then a gift goal the other way... Scored by a ghost apparently!

The Salmela - Pokka pairing is not good. They get forced into turnovers every time in our end. Ohtamaa has struggled noticeably too.

Seeing Aho live is worthy of the hearteyes emoji. Ok, he had the penalty and could have played the situation better which lead to US's second goal better. But he is so friggin smart and protects the puck so well for a smaller guy.

I know some questioned Rants being selected but he's made things happen

Koskinen just makes me nervous, kind of like Vehviläinen at the U20's.

The fastness of the US players is giving us some trouble, and they are more effective breaking into our zone.

EDIT: I haven't watched AHL this year but people at the Hawks board seem kind of down on Pokka. His slowness is the most cited issue.

Nice... Complicated game, USA aint bad, speedy team. Best today: Aho, Laine, Pulkkinen, Komarov, Kukkonen. But i think whole team can do better, looked sleepy at times..
Lajunen and Sallinen should not play on Friday.
