Don't sleep on Matheson, he was paired with Ekblad and the playoffs and impressed.

Looking forward to see him play. I think most here dont know how much about him. His skating ability is crazy good. Can QB the PP and plays a strong game both ways. He'll replace Campbell in Florida in a season or two, playing tons of minutes.

that's all well and good, and if this were the 2020 World Hockey Championships, then perhaps I wouldn't be as skeptical.

I get it, a Panthers fan is hyped to see a Panthers prospect show his stuff at an international tournament...but from my perspective I'm concerned about 2 things, this tournament and how that relates to winning the 2018 Olympics. (assuming of course it's an NHL Olympics). The question of who's going to assume Campbell's minutes in 2 years time is not really that high on my priority list today. And as I look at the roster for this year's team, there are only 5 players that may have a shot at the 2018 team and none of them are defenseman. And as a Hockey Canada fan, I would have liked that number twice that.

but anyway...what can you do...watch and enjoy as McDavid Mcdangles.

So not on tv? tsn.ca will have to suffice. Too bad I live out on a farm in the middle of nowhere and have terrible internet. Hopefully I can watch it on lower quality without constant buffering.

Excited to see the Domi-McDavid-Duchene line. Don't think it will be that successful in all honesty though.

probably not, but the coach will see it and in fine Hockey Canada tradition he'll rave about it for days leading up to the tourney about this so-called "chemistry" between McDavid and Duchene. And by game 6 still trying to sell the country on it.

That is a tradition. Dreger will mention it on TSN, and random posters will bring it up for years to come. I doubt it matches the hype of Strome and Marner's chemistry though. Playing street hockey in the summer once or twice = golden chemistry come WJC time.

What's with Canada and never putting Rielly on the top PP when he's their best PP option? Happened in the WJCs too.

Just as I suspected, it's pretty laggy for me. No commentators either.

From what I gathered in the few seconds that weren't lagging, McDavid is flying. Like literally flying.

Yeah no commentators is a bit of a drag. I've got both games running right now and my options are Finnish or "OFFSIDE" every few minutes.

I wonder why they couldn't get SOMEONE to commentate this. And no scoreboard either. Oh well, it's free. Can't complain.

Canada scores. O'Reilly from Rielly and Tanev.

Sucks getting onto TSN to watch a stream now, it's going to take a half hour just to setup my Telus optik account.

Seemed to be a gigantic cheer from the crowd whenever McDavid steps onto the ice. That's twice now.

Another goal. Duchene from Domi. Domi stopped up at the top of the circle and gave Duchene a nice pass with speed and he made a nice move to cut in a shoot a snapshot low glove.

2-0.

Hall with a terrible turnover. Just braindead play from him. Nothing new.

Great offensive zone pressure from Domi-McDavid-Duchene. They've been dominant so far.

Czech's with a few good chances that shift keeping the Jenner-O'Reilly-Gallagher line hemmed in for a bit.

Cody Ceci looks impressive so far.

May as well have been a fan periscoping the game through their iPhone lol.

Hall-Brassard-Reinhart line getting hemmed in bad. Lots of Czech opportunities that shift but they can't score.

Hamilton puts a weak pass up the boards but McDavid fled the zone too fast. Czech's with a great chance and Hamilton with a terrible turnover.
