Coutinho is like 10 times the player Lucas is.

I can see Coutinho making sense for PSG but they'd have to change their formation for it to work.

Why would they have to change their formation? To be honest Coutinho plays well in midfield and he can operate from the left (where he has played most since coming to Liverpool).

Coutinho is the better player right now, no doubt. I wonder if they would move Lucas because I think his style is more suited to EPL than Ligue 1.

It would certainly be interesting to see Lucas with Liverpool and his pace and more direct style of play than most of our wide players would be welcomed.

Why not both? Especially if Subotic and possibly Ginter and Sokratis will leave this summer in addition to Hummels?

Mustafi and Bartra have very different qualities as defenders.

Maybe, but this is a lot of money. The Barca guy isn't expensive by today's standards, but Mustafi will cost serious money.

Yeah, but they could still end up with a balanced budget as far as CBs go. Mustafi would apparently cost less than they got for Hummels, since Valencia is willing to sell at a lower price due to their absence from European play. They could make up Bartra's fee by selling Subotic and Sokratis.

I think Bartra+one of Toprak/Mustafi would be the best plan.

Too bad Subotic fell apart a few seasons ago. I always liked him. He used to be good a few years back. I didn't know Ginter is about to leave.

I'm not sure Ginter is. There haven't been any solid rumors, but the second half of the season seemed to suggest that he's out of favor with Tuchel and doesn't really fit anywhere in the squad. Subotic could still be solid at a team that asks less of its center backs in buildup, and that can keep him healthy. It seems that Dortmund is planning to buy (and sell the players whom they don't want to sell) first, and then work on selling the players whom they want to sell.

I'd sell Coutinho to PSG given that he didn't play his best once Klopp showed up, but I think I'd ask for a lot more money for him. He's not worth more, but PSG has it to pay.

Any truth about the french report saying Paris going hard after P. Coutinho? They sure could use a skilled '10' like him. I wonder if they would still keep Lucas if they indeed bring Coutinho.

Hope they bring another CF, not high on Cavani.

Pastore's better and is a great 10.

Yep, if Blanc remains, a 4-3-3 without a 10 doesn't make sense for Coutinho. And then again, Pastore.

I still cannot believe they lost to City. I know injuries/suspensions hurt them, but that was a really weak QF opponent.

Totally. But it still was a great season. 4 trophies out of 5.

I'm so happy we ended up getting Bartra. Came out of nowhere, but this is a truly fantastic move! If we're actually able to add Mustafi as well? That's a VERY solid back line for Dortmund.

Borrusia Dortmund will be meeting with Rodrigo Caio's family today according to a Brazilian journalist. Sevilla is also interested.

I'd say his value is around €10M-15M.

He's pretty small... How good is he? Does he prefer CDM or CB?

I love all the rumors being chucked at the wall by people hoping something sticks.

In the last 24 hours I've seen United supposedly making bids for Kane, Bale, Ronaldo, Pogba, Morata, and a few others to boot.

Have you watched any full matches of his? Isn't he more in the Bartra mold as a ball playing CB than the Glik/Mustafi/Sokratis defensive-anchor type of CB?

Knowing Mourinho he will target DM... He loves his defensive midfielder.

He's the real deal.

He's been playing exclusively as CB this season for Sao Paulo, but he plays CDM for Brazil's national team. He's just as good at both positions.

He plays for the team I root for, so I've watched every game of him since his debut.

He can play as CDM, CB and Right FB. He's pretty agile, does a good job on 1on1 situations and is strong contesting headers. Good passer, too.

Wow that's great! Thank you so much for the info bro!

edit - Watching that video (obviously it shows him in a great light) his vision is awesome. He can play some killer deep balls.

Coutinho best position is LCM in a midfield 3. I actually don't love Coutinho as a 10

Dortmund is still chasing Orel Mangala as well. This is a guy I'd definitely like them to bring in. Huge presence. Remember that we've been watching him for quite some time too.

Bartra is a great signing for Dortmund for 8M. I expected something in the 10-20M range.

Also, I could see Mustafi being interested in Dortmund as well.

I've seen a bit of Calo. Looks very promising.

No matter what manager they have, Dortmund has a knack of getting quality young players for cheap.

Reports are saying that Bartra has no buyback clause. Wow. That's a fantastic piece of business. Have to actually give Zorc credit here.

No problem.

I personally think that he's at his best as CDM, because of his passing ability.

Casemiro is a good comparison as CDM. Both are from São Paulo FC's academy so they share some qualities as passing, tackles, and scoring ability as headers.

Would suck to lose him... hope they wait at the end of this year Libertadores to sell him.
