BMG are apparently willing to drop 15-20M on Embolo on top of Toulemans, Vestegaard, & Edimilson/Grillitsch; so **** it, Eberl should see if he can't get Fekir for that money instead. Outside of Angel Correa, I can't imagine a more perfect successor to Raffael.

...even if I've got a gut feeling that Donis Avdijaj will end up making good on all of his talent with BMG, after S04 Schalke him away for peanuts.

I thought Basel wanted a lot more than that for Embolo? Or would he want to go to Gladbach only for the Swiss connection?

Will Raffael for sure leave this summer? Or are you thinking long-term? I will miss watching him. He is one of the more underrated Bundesliga players. Few non-Bundesliga fans know how good he is. Do you think Stindl could also fill his role?

Apparently VFL failed with a bid of 25-30M during the winter; but they seem to have failed to win over the player, not the club. While with BMG, there's rumors of mutual interest. So if Embolo wants to go there, as it would be a great next step for a kid like him, they could be able to get a price that they can afford...basically the same thing that seems to be happening with Tielemans.

Raffael will almost certainly finish out his european career with BMG, which won't end this summer, before going back to Brazil for the very end; but the long term might not be very much longer with him. He's one of my favorite players, and one of our league's best, but he's growing very long in the tooth, and is going to need more & more rotation in the coming years.

I like Stindl a lot, especially in a complimentary role in attack, but he needs that great player to play off of. I think he could do very well next to a Fekir/Correa/Embolo/Eggestein, down the line, but he couldn't be "the man" with Hazard playing off of him. If that makes sense. Speaking of Hazard, he is poised for a huge year after working his way into Schubert's good grace & finishing the season so well; but I don't see him ever replacing Raffael any more than I do Stindl.

If Fekir leaves Lyon, I expect PSG to be his destination. Both seem to like one another very much.

Of course, Aulas will ask for 80M€ for a player who almost didn't play all year.

Players swaps don't happen in real life.
Papers have those every week, but I can't think of any other than the Ibra/Eto'o swap in recent memory.

As a fan of BMG I can tell you that there is not a single indication that Raffael will leave Borussia. Don't know where this is coming from, but no one in Moenchengladbach has ever heard anything about this

Several sources saying Mascherano is close to be signing with Juve.

Would be great he's one of my favorite players.

I just read that too, ugh :(

Masch leaving, Bartra and Vermaelen probably gone as well..

Or maybe they come to their senses and convince Bartra to stay. Small chance but still

Pique/Bartra, then you get Marquinhos and maybe Laporte, and you give away Mathieu to anyone who wants that **** and you're good to go imo

I think maybe Marquinhos would be more realistic as well.
PSG has more or less appointed him as starter and put Luiz on the bench for the last stretch of the season.

Middlesborough has signed Viktor Fischer.

Moroccan media is apparently reporting that Dortmund are offering FC Twente 15M for Hakim Ziyech. Hmmm.

No one is saying Raffael could leave. I was just talking about a long term replacement for him as he ages.

Masch and Alves both leaving? March leaving is the biggest surprise. Depending on the replacements this could be a big loss.

-According to SPORT, which got the rumor as reported on Cadena Ser, it's just been announced that Dani Alves is leaving Barça and has agreed a three year deal with Juventus. I believe his deal from last Summer meant that either he or the club could decide he could go and this looks to be the players choice. We'll see what they do now. I'd like to see Sergi Roberto get even more minutes and this would be an option, but Lucho doesn't trust Vidal so I could see a RB brought in. I have to say that Aurier immediately springs to mind.

-Report in SPORT that Barça has contacted Lorient about Rapheal Guerreiro.

I just read that too, ugh :(

The Mascherano rumor isn't new by any means, but I didn't expect it to come to fruition now. Apparently the player wants to leave. Why I can't blame him for his reasons if what I read was true, it's... let's just say unfortunate that he now wants to go. I was thinking about this during the Copa Final and now I'm thinking it again: hopefully some day Catalan independence is realized.

If he wants to go and Juventus want him, I'd make them pay. He's going to be 32 in a couple of weeks, but he's got two years left on his contract and he's still playing at the highest level. He's initiating the move, make them pay up. Of course it probably won't happen that way. I'd also use it to secure one of Pogba or Dybala.

Vermaelen can go, Mathieu as well (though you're being too harsh again Savi ;) he threw his body around in that Copa Final), but this should mean they go and convince Bartra to stay. I don't blame him for wanting to leave, but make an effort to keep him. Hell, I'd even let him partner Pique depending on who we bring in. Sadly it looks as though he's gone though.

We'll obviously need reinforcements and when you're making that many changes at one position you better make sure you bring somebody reliable. Not sure why Marquinhos is being mentioned here as I understand him to be absolutely not for sale. Maybe you have something to the contrary Evilo, but even as you noted he was a starter towards the end of the season and I understand he's been told he'll be a starter next season. He'd be my first choice at this point, but I can't see it happening. I can see Laporte being sold, but he'll cost a small fortune and I haven't read him linked with the club recently. We have been linked with CBs though. Lemos of Las Palmas (who Madrid were of course linked with just days later) and now Sidnei as I mentioned above. I just hope they have a top tier CB or top tier potential CB lined up.

Middlesborough has signed Viktor Fischer.

Saw that about Fischer yesterday. It'll be interesting to see who leaves Ajax this Summer. I would think that you've got a good list of candidates to go.

Yeah, Sport saying Alves to Juve will be made official next week. Not surprised he's moving on, but I'm shocked by the Mascherano news. Apparently he struck a personal deal with Juve

Apparently Barça have come out and said Mascherano isn't transferable. Doesn't mean much if the player wants to go, but should hopefully help them potentially realize a decent transfer fee which still can be an issue.

The possibility for Dani leaving was always there with his contract situation. In fact after the Copa Final he said something to the effect of you never know what will happen. This is very sudden though. That's good though because now the club can work on finding a replacement if they're going to go into the market for one.

I hate seeing either of Mascherano or Dani go, but both is a huge blow. Both have been excellent all these years and both will difficult to replace. Dani in particular will pretty much be impossible to replace. Absolutely love the player too.

Yeah, the Macherano thing doesn't look good for us, he's gonna sign with Juventus.

We better sign Marquinhos. Now or never.

Forgot to mention that Samper is being linked with Sporting. Apparently Abelardo wants him. I'd be open to a loan or a sale with a buyback clause as he won't get he minutes with us, but we don't have a real DM back up and either way he better get his shot at some point.

Yeah don't see it either. Clearly, PSG has changed their tunes right after Marquinhos' pressure.
And rightfully so. He's been perfect ever since he was penciled as starter.
Luiz is a team guy and I think he understands spending more time on the bench. But he too will be frustrated at some point.
I see him leaving in summer 2017. Or maybe Thiago at some point. But since he's coming off arguably his best season ever, I doubt it.

Well Silva is an option I still think would be smart if he were available. I don't think he is at all, but even at his age he brings a lot to the table and would make a great short term solution.

Funny you mention Luiz as I was thinking the club might look to him as an alternative. Doubt PSG would sell him though and I don't think I'd like the price.

Forgot to mention it in my initial post, but SPORT linking us with Sidnei of Depor. Sounds as though it's a messy situation as Depor still owe money for him.

Yeah I doubt PSG sells any CB right now, they need a 4th option rather than sell one of their first 3.
Luiz or Silva will leave in a year. I doubt it's Silva, but who knows? In any case, it's going to be expensive.
