Apparently Leverkusen insiders are reporting that Volland had his physical today; will be announced tomorrow.

I'll never hate them like BFC, but seriously F*** those ***holes. They under-utilize Mehmedi as is, and now they're adding Volland to a mix that already has too many guys that Brandt has to share PT with.

According to kicker the fee is 20m€. Not much for a player of his caliber these days.

Bayer Leverkusen, home of Löw's not needed or wanted attackers.

The Wobbies have to do something to equal that.

Melissa Reddy says Liverpool is going to "throw the kitchen sink" at Gotze. But not making the CL might hurt them here. Gotze hasn't decided if he is okay with that yet but Liverpool is not out. Liverpool is looking into alternate targets though.

Yep Gotze delay to decide is saying a lot.
I believe he really wanted CL football.

Pretty much depends on what other teams are lining up.
If it's Dortmund, I believe Liverpool stands a chance because he could see it as going backwards.
If there's a top CL team, no way does he go to Liverpool.

That's assuming everyone more or less proposes the same money.

My guess is this:

Dortmund wants to keep Micki (long-term contract with no out-clause). If Micki leaves for Chelsea (as reported by German media), Götze comes back to Dortmund. If not, Götze joins Klopp.
So actually it's all on Micki, not Götze.

Soooo...sounds like Xhaka may be taking a medical soon but the two clubs are still ways off in their valuation of the player. Should get done though, Xhaka wants to move, BMG will get a boatload of money and sounds like they have very appealing plans already in place to replace him.

I'm pretty excited about this one. Most likely he'll move Coquelin to the bench and play next to either Cazorla or Ramsey. Cazorla if healthy. Ramsey needs to find his form or sit more often next season. Poor Wilshere is basically just a HG slot at this point. With Xhaka, Coquelin and El Neny - we finally have a central midfield with some steely depth. Hopefully Xhaka can maintain the passion and fire but cool off with the cards like Coquelin was able to do. No more Arteta, no more Flamini, no more Rosicky.

Still tons of work to do.

As reported by others, Xhaka is indeed set for a medical at #afc. Deal looks to be a long way down the line.

Ramsey played at his best when Arteta was still competent. I think Wenger will try to rekindle that by pairing him and Xhaka together. Cazorla becomes the best player off the bench in the league.

I think Götze just doesn't know whether he wants either option first. If Dortmund isn't showing him unconditional interest now, I think he'll pick Liverpool. But I'm not sure he knows whether the non-footballing life at the Merseyside is what he wants. Maybe he's hoping for a new more Southern option by the end of the Euros?

Yeah, this is probably true long-term I just think back to the beginning of the season, with Cazorla and Coquelin we looked really good it was a perfect balance.

Xhaka with Coquelin when we need to build a bit of a defensive wall could be nasty.

Stoke, AC Milan, and Arsenal are reportedly chasing Ramadan Sobhi(Egypt). Valued at 5million pounds and may have some issues getting a work permit if he goes to England.

It wasn't posted, but Ornstein said the deal is all but done. He is 100% right on Arsenal deals.

The player they've longed needed. I think 30m is still low for him - am I crazy in believing that?

It's a good price by EPL standards. Hard to say which sources to trust for transfer fees these days. Last I read was that Arsenal and Gladbach still hadn't settled on the final price but the deal was about to take place.

As I've said before I think Xhaka is a bit overrated and has flaws (questionable strategic choice of passes, defensive work, and positioning) but he's still an excellent passer who will improve Arsenal's midfield.

Same. Wouldn't be surprised if Arsene's trying to force BMG into taking what the buyout fee will be next season, and Eberl's having none of it. So far they've managed their record profits well, and can afford to proceed with their pursuit of Tielemans without the xhaka funds; while calling Arsene's bluff & insisting he pay them extra to get Granit a season sooner.

I won't argue that X's decision making on the ball hasn't been sloppy at times in the past, or that having Dahoud next to him + a skillful back three behind him didn't help a lot this season; but it was pretty damn rare to see him making questionable decisions with his passes this season. He doesn't play too many penetrating passes...outside of his long balls...but that's why he fills the role Pep kept trying to force Xabi's corpse to fulfill, not one similar to those that Dahoud & Gundogan do.

His positioning against the ball can get sloppy though, especially when he gets riled up and starts doing stupid things all over the field.

That is a ugly Arsenal jersey by itself, but it goes quite nicely with the rest of the kit.

Seriously is the dark red stripe going down supposed to resemble the St. George's Cross on the flag of England?

But whatever, great signing, though as I said before, he's coming here as a replacement for Arteta/Cazorla than an addition. Even if it's a lateral move, it's still an upgrade and that's what matters.

It’s only 3-0 who cares
with Mourinho quite possible now joining United as the next manager, Ibrahimovic to United makes a lot of sense. Unless he's going back to finish his career in Sweden, I don't know of any other team in Europe he'd want to join. He's never played in the EPL and he has talked about his admiration for Mourinho.

Rojo, Mata, Depay, Januzaj, Fellaini obvious players that could be on their way out.

van Gaal all but confirms that he's on the way out.

Big rumor today is that Benzema may be interested / sold on a move to Man Utd.

He and Mourinho have a great relationship and respect.

He posted this picture on instagram this morning. (Look at top right corner)
