Hell baby
Of course the start didn't end ideally for Pomeranz, but I loved the way he was throwing the ball last night. He seems a lot more comfortable than he did in his first couple of starts...you can tell he has more confidence.

First homer he has allowed on a curve this year, which is pretty remarkable considering how much he throws it.

As time goes on the more and more I like the Pomeranz deal. Especially with Kopech being a stud of epic proportions in high A right now.

basically played a 7 game series against TAMPA and could very well finish at 3-4 when good teams should be going 5-2. still plenty of time left in this game but now i wonder if steven wright has to worry about buchholz taking his spot in the rotation.

Liked the trade at the time, like it even more right now. Pomeranz is a good pitcher and under control for a couple more years. He's the exact kind of guy you should be trading a "top" prospect for.

Yup, the "Steven Wright is better than Wakefield ever was" crowd has mostly gone into hiding the last month or so.

I'm shocked that just happened. Shocked I say....

This entire bullpen outside of Kimbrel and Ziegler, absolutely sucks, just completely sucks.

Just be happy Koji isn't back yet, because he'd be in that spot over Ziegler as well.

Farrell is managing this bullpen like it's 2013. Tazawa ****ing sucks, and everyone else but Farrell can see that.

I think Tazawa was legit the only option there...unless you go to Kimbrel to try and get 4 outs after throwing 22 pitches last night.

didn't he use kimbrel down a run when most managers only trot out the closer there if it's a tie game? my head is spinning

LOL at tazawa getting the W though

He's having some issues from the right side of the plate and his defense is a work in progress at 3rd (not that he's been horrendous or anything, just not a lot of experience there in the pros)

I think he will be up to play 3rd against righties and run as needed
