Anyone seen much of Pierre luc dubois? Ripping up the q, good size. Heard he plays on a strong team but his cohort set is significantly better then at least 10 of the guys ranked ahead of him

I would also love to hear more on Dubois, because if the Jets somehow put some wins together and/or get very unlucky in the lottery and draft in the mushy middle of the non playoff teams (8-11 ish) he might be right in the mix.

Another guy I'd love to hear more on from OHL guys (Guerzy? ;)) is Sergachev. I realize Julovei had the good World Juniors, but what from I have been reading this guy could be just as good if not better.

Sergachyov is similar to Provorov IMO (not just because he's Russian). Juolevi is basically like a Sami Vatanen type player.

We're almost getting to a point where a top 5 looks very likely.

One of Matthews, Pulijujarvi, Laine, Tkachuk or Chyckrun. Nice.

Laine or Tkachuk would replace Ladd in far less years than his ask for contract term, I'm guessing. Connor would pick up some slack there as well on left side.

Matthews would give a #1 franchise Center with size and skill.

Pulijujarvi is more like Wheels. Likely Stafford's replacement and upgrade in a few year.

Chyckrun adds LH d depth and possible top pairing. Would replace a departed Buff in terms of minutes and use, in a couple of years, though likely not nearly as offensive.

Chychrun and Trouba :amazed:

I've just started looking into him, too. Looks like he'd be a great consolation prize if we end up in the 8-10 range. Actually doesn't look so different from Laine to me.

I've really liked what I've been reading on Sergachyov. I might be a little higher on him than Juolevi at this point.

If we end up picking 6-10 somewhere, I want a C or D. So one of Juolevi, Sergachev or Pierre Luc Dubois for me.

I'd want that too in the top 5 but the BPA's in that range are mostly wingers..

somewhere flat

Almost before my time Jetabre which is freakin scary!!!

C'mon now, you're old enough to remember Orr and the other Bruins beating up on the Rangers at the time. Same with the Habs pounding on them. Definitely remember Walt. I was such a hockey nut back in the day (I was in grade 1 in 1970) and I remember begging my mom every Saturday night to leave the TV volume turned up so I could hear the three stars at the end of the Hockey Night in Canada broadcast. My bedtime was earlier than most games finishing times but that was my Saturday night. Eat dinner, watch the Buggs Bunny/Roadrunner show, then HNIC.

Who's watching the BMO Top Prospects game?

http://bmotopprospects.ca/page/2016-rosters

I am...

After the 1st period.... players that would look good in a Jet uniform ?

- McLeod... wheels, vision, aggressive...
- Churchyn... man-child, easy stride, physical, maybe not a top end O' talent...
- Tkachuk... hockey sense, goes to dirty areas, uses his teammates always...
- Dubois... strong, aggressive, goes to net, can move and handle puck...
- Sergachev... Provorov like, uncanny resemblance in the way he plays, skates,
and controls the puck

Would be very happy with any of these players...

Awe the good old days. In our family everyone got to stay up late if they were watching the hockey game. If not you were off to bed. My dad had his priorities. I was one of 3 boys born in consecutive years in the mid 60's. Come intermission there was a quick reassemble in the hallway for a quick game of forward-defensemen and goalie. Come puck drop everyone was back on the couch.

I like hearing pisitive s on PLD given his current stat lines.

Nice part of the players you mentioned is there enough of them spread out that they'll be available in the 8-14 range if the tank fails us :)

Looks a lot like Myers to me at times. It doesn't seem like he has fully adapted to his size, looks a bit awkward and uncoordinated at times. I think he will need a couple more years of seasoning before he's ready. I still would be happy with him at the draft.
