(sigh) are you telling me I'm backing a guy who has some issues? hehe I might have to find a new player to endorse this season :D
Brown does look like a potential top 5, though. He has so much skill and can easily become a Strome-level centre but with elite skating.

I think he should be considered with our high pick.

that's why I am hoping, we can get a third round pick (an extra one), then toss it to Detroit. according to comp rules, it doesn't have to be our own, it just has to be a third round pick.

So what's stopping us from trading our third round pick for let's say Chicago's third round pick + 5th/6th?

All other compensations are original team picks so I see no reason why this would be any different.

If his offense blossoms, I like him better than Strome. He's better defensively at this point, high IQ (like Strome), way better skating, bigger, more developed frame (with room to continue to grow), and Captain material.

I definitely want chychrun. I think he'll be elite, insanely talented. Idk if he'll be better than Hanifin but if we draft Matthews we'll have a clog up the middle (not a bad thing). I don't know though. If we get 1st overall, obviously take Matthews.

so if we draft Chychrun, we'll have 2 LHD on the top pairing? :help:

Chychrun has played the right side. People also need need to get over this left and right thing. Some players play better on their off-side. Their are advantaes to this. Phaneuf plays better on his right side.

Ray Bourque was a left shooting right dman. There were and are many more.

I'm no landmark, but I (as a right shot) always loved playing on my off wing or D-spot. Easier to let a one-timer rip.

you pick Mathews 100% if you get 1st overall, otherwise you have to go have chychrun for sure.

What's the proper pronunciation for Chychrun? Ch-eye-ch-run? Chi-ch-run? Chi-krun? Ch-eye-krun? keye-krun? ki-krun?

There is also a reason why Phaneuf was moved back to his natural side. The advantages to playing the off-hand are in the offensive zone, the disadvantages are in the defensive zone. Imho only very skilled and smart defenders excel playing the wrong side. Fwiw I have no issues with Rielly on the right.

Chychrun is the guy we should be targeting. Anyone who pencils brown ahead of him needs to get themselves checked out.
