If I was Dustin Brown I would be relieved that DL stripped me of the captaincy, considering how bad his play has become. I would feel awkward being the captain of a team when there are superstars like Kopitar and Doughty that deserve it more. Hopefully this takes some pressure off of him and he returns some of his old form.

The captaincy of a hockey team has nothing to do with how many points you score. I think it make the organization look bad the way it was handled. But either way Brown is here long term, nobody will take that contract.

If Doug Maclean of sportsnet is reliable and Lucic indeed resigns with us cool . If not i hope Dean signs Hamhuis and Brad Richards to good deals and gives Beau Bennett serious consideration. Im really intrigued by Bennett.

Really I don't care about wings. The Kings have too many of those. Pens just won with Sheary/Rust. Fix the D. Don't need a Polak/Schenn anchor on the 3rd pair, but really fix the D. I don't care if Toffoli needs to be traded to make it happen. Tired of the fire drill the Kings are running on the defense.

You have it exactly right. Every time I see someone pencil in McNabb with Doughty I want to throw up.

I'd rather Lucic's money go to a defenseman, it's more likely that one of our rookies can step into a top 6 forward role than one can step into a top 4 defensive role.

i don't fault DL for the lucic trade, jones was a backup after a terrible previous season, miller is miller... so it really cost us a first rd pick...also at half the contract for a full season of lucic (wasn't a rental) so the trade was good

i still haven't gotten over the Sekera deal though

it was an obvious mistake that a lot of us foresaw and wished we could warn DL to think it over... but ah well
