They were trading chances all the time. Very entertaingin hockey. Our defense is in big trouble whenver they put pressure on it, and the Russians know it. We finally got some cycle going towards the end which is good. Just need to score soon.

I noticed that as well. As long as they stay away from the board battles they should be ok.

Great period by our boys. D's somewhat lack skating, especially backwards and that allows finnish forwards to skate deep into the zone off the rush and set up some posession. But otherwise, russians are very, very good. Doing the same they did against yankees - keeping opposition's attack on the outside, blocking shots, cycle the puck in the other zone as long as possible. That is how you grind out win.

Along the boards, Russia's a beast, must be some kind of major component of the old Soviet hockey system or something. Our skating speed needs some improvement though.

Great period. For some reason Finns looking absolutely petrified a man down, but their top line started to get into the swing of things towards the end. They won't go scoreless.

Alot ofthat cycle pressure was against a stranded line after icing, and they didn't create any real chances

They combined the teams. Canada has done it 5 times. so 3 go to other countries.
