Based on Bennings hints, it sounds like #5 is the spot where he'll most likely take Juolevi.

This is why it feels like a disaster.

If we were confident that he'd pick Tkachuk/Dubois, there'd be nothing to worry about.
 
3 more losses and we would be in Toronto's position. Good thing we didn't trade anyone. Thanks Benning and our wonderful owner.

I hope the anti tank crowd is happy.
 
I would be infinitely more pissed if Calgary had won a spot instead of Winnipeg.

canucks badly needed a franchise player they lost out on one today no matter what perspective you want to take

pretty dark day with not alot of light coming at the end of the tunnel with linden/benning/weisbrod still running the show
 
Didn't know how my body would react post lottery. But I'm now feeling that we should swing for the fences and draft Chychrun. Hope to god he had an off year due to injuries. I'd rather swing and miss on Chychrun than land a potential Hamhuis.
 
Well....at least we pick 3rd in all other rounds still...I guess that's something...but not much.
 
Just got to hope Dubois lands in our laps, doubt it though oilers probably trade their pick or trade down with Dubois going 4 then.

Going through a season like this where we got no assets at the TD and ending up with Juolevi is gonna sting like a *****.
 
Odds were they would draft 5th, I'm just happy they didn't drop to 6th. Walking away with either Tkachuk or Dubois is pretty damn good.

That's the maddening thing. We won't know if we made the right pick for a long time. Don't want D this early but who knows. Dude could be Lidstrom and that guy wasn't even in the NHL until 21, though you just know Nucks will make room for whoever they pick after his draft+1. That, and if it's a London kid, having to hear from Nuck and Leaf fans straight away about how we made the wrong pick.
