Just a friendly reminder, be happy with having 6th overall and anything above that is a bonus.

it's the only way to not be too disappointed if the above happens.

I wouldn't trade a top 3 pick for Lindholm. I expect Matthews, Laine & Pujarjvi to be game changers, Hampus is not.

How high can we move up the draft with #33 + Hansen?

Top 2, absolutely.

Puljajarvi is very good but I'm not sold he's a 'franchise' type guy. To me he looks like a 60-70 point two-way guy.

Absolutely nothing wrong with that. Those are players you win with.

Would be stoked to get Puljujarvi, although I'd go ballistic with Matthews or Laine.

I think you guys are underrating Pujhols offensive game. I think he's got better vision and is a more complete player than Laine.

Do you think Pulju has patience enough with the puck to be a 70 point 2 way C?

Further, what is your projection for Dubois at C?

Pulju's a better passer, but in terms of overall offensive impact, it's Laine. I say this being very partial to 2way players that pass first.

If he's a C who plays a 2 way game like Toews or Bergerin in addition to putting up 60-70 then ya he's a franchise player

I feel like you need to be in the 70-80 range as a two way player to be franchise level.

At 60-70, you're basically saying Mikko Koivu is a franchise player. I don't think he quite fits the bill, as good of a player as he is.

It also overstates Kopitar's offense too. He's more accurately a 65-75 pt than a 75+ really. I mean he's surpassed 75 pts 3x - 76, 77 and 81 - but his range is more 65-75. I don't know if Puljujarvi can match that but if he can he'd be close to Kopitar in value, given his rounded game.

If Mikko Koivu had kept that pace for his entire career it could be. Since the lockout hes basically been a 55 ish point player which is obviously not franchise level. All depends if we are talking peak or long prime.

Is Taylor Hall a franchise player? A lot of EDM fans would say so. Especially when McDavid wasnt there.

I'd say no to Taylor Hall purely because I feel that in order to be a true franchise player, you need the ability to elevate your team to some degree of success.

Hall isn't to blame for the gong show that is the Oilers franchise, but the team hasn't climbed past the middle of the pack of teams that don't make the playoffs since he got there. They're hardly even a little bit better.

I wouldn't trade a Top 3 pick for Lindholm. I don't think his offense will develop to the point where he becomes an elite #1 defenseman. We need an offensive dynamo that can turn this offense into a high octane machine.
