Blues put Ty Rattie on Waivers.

Hey, he's small and inexperienced, but I'd say screw it and pick him up. Costs nothing to make a waiver claim, might luck into a good piece and a future good RW. And we need skilled wingers. Thats just totally my opinion though. Dumpster Diving and such

Or the Kings could promote Jonny Brodzinski, a guy who actually deserves a shot.

Has size, hands, IQ, vision, speed.

Wait, what the hell? Why did they waive Rattie? Thought he was solid.

Guess I'd better read that :P

lol at the common misinformation in that writeup "This situation comes about after the Blues signed Rattie to a one-way deal before the 2016-2017 season, meaning he could not be returned to the AHL without passing through this waivers process."

I would offer another question in answer to the above question: Does ANYONE out there care about Andreoff?

Rattie on waivers seems odd to me. However at I am not sure that he brings anything Seto doesn't. Maybe youth?

Would take him over Andy A, but AA at leaves gives some center depth if one goes down.

Hi Guys, wasn't sure where to ask this in your section so apologies if I got it wrong. My question is WTF is up with Kopitar? I won't lie, he's on my fantasy roster but I've always been a huge fan of his. Nagging injury? Poor linemates? ****** luck? Whats the problem? Being an Avs fan, I pretty much only have fantasy to look forward to now

Injury to his wrist, he probably won't correct it, till the off-season. The injury is effecting his shooting/passing.

I wouldn't expect much of him this season.

All the above. Wrist is definitely injured. He's wearing a huge brace on it. His linemates aren't scorers most of the time. And yes, bad luck. Has hit 8 posts I think this year. Also had a wide open net the other night but Burns made a diving stick save. I'd expect his scoring to increase some but it won't be a typical year for him. 12 goals, 50 points would be my guess.

He's also down to shooting 1/3 of his career average  I didn't think it could get worse. So, so snakebit.

Call me crazy, I think we're gonna see a Kopitar hat trick on this homestand.

I believe if you claim a guy you have to keep them up on your big club for an extended period. Can't remember exactly how long. You can't just claim a guy and send him to your own minor league team

you can if no one else put a claim on him the first time around.

Neito claimed by the team with the first pick. I think this is a big gaf by the Sharks.

Anyone hear anything on if DL s started negotiating deals with TT and Pearson?

I'm sure he is. Neither guy is signing now though. Pearson is on pace for a 20 goal season so he'll want more with each goal he scores. Toffoli is having a poor season so far and will look to rebound and get his value up again.

Not true. Once you claim a player you can turn around and put them on waivers again the next day if you would like.

It is true that after you make a claim you would need to place the player on waivers again to send them to the minors. At that point the original waiving team can reclaim him and if they do that and if no one else puts a claim in they may send him to minors without waivers. However if another team puts in a claim they cannot do that.

Which is what we just saw when Reid Boucher was waived and claimed at start of year by Carolina. When Carolina waived him later on in the year Devils claimed him expecting to be able to put him on farm team. However they had to rewaive since another team had a claim in (claims are blind, no one knows who else put claims in) and Boucher ended up in Vancouver.
