Chicago won with Crawford tonight, so I wonder if the Bruins will see Darling? He's a solid backup.

Washington is losing in Arizona, but it's early. If they don't get points, Chicago is that much closer to the President's Trophy.

I just wonder how much teams really care about the President's Trophy.

Which was the last team that won the President's Trophy and the Stanley Cup? The Rangers? I wonder if teams consider winning it a bit of a curse.

Actually happened 5 times since the Rangers, most recently the Hawks in 2013.

Between 1999 and 2002, 3 of the 4 cup champions were also President's trophy winners.

I remember seeing a stat that said the president's trophy winner has won the cup 20% of the time. Considering there is 16 teams in the playoffs, I'd say those are good odds.

Didn't really know where to put this but..

Landeskog 3 points in his last 17 games
Duchene 1 point in his last 20 games

Holy smokes. I know these guys are talented and I’m sure it’s more of a reflection of the team but it’s pretty concerning being linked to them (mostly Lando) and they play like this to end the year...

Guess it lowers their value in the offseason :naughty:

Poor Colorado though you gota feel for those fans a little

I didn't realize that it was five times since the Rangers in 1994. Still, more often than not, the President's Trophy does not lead to a Stanley Cup.

Those numbers are red flags. They effectively quit on their team and the season. Even if your team sucks, at least put in an effort and show a bit of pride—and leadership in the case of the captain, Landeskog. I hope that Boston steers clear of both players.

Even Roy quit on them before the season. I imagine in a good atmosphere production will return for those guys. They've been working hard for a losing effort for a long time.

The other thing that has to be taken into consideration is the post-lockout salary cap. Only twice in the eleven seasons since the cap has the President's Trophy winner won the Cup; and for what it's worth, one of those was in a lockout-shortened season (less injuries and wear and tear on players).

The 94 Rangers, 99 Stars, 01 Avalanche, and 02 Red Wings all had talent-laden rosters that would be hard to ice with the parity of the cap.

Right now Chicago would have home ice in every playoff series except a Final against Washington. Columbus is within reach, but that was a huge regulation win against them last night in that regard.

Warning. If the Bruins leapfrog the Leafs do not troll their board in retribution.

You will be infracted and potentially banned.

Consider yourself forewarned

I seriously can't believe a Bruins fan would even consider trolling another team's board given how our season has ended the past two years. So stupid.

Exactly. Don't act like a teenager after their first time getting some. Leaf fans have an excuse. We don't.

Doubt we even do. Their next two games aren't exactly the very model of a difficult schedule.

Leafs and Sens to lose, Habs to beat Tampa please. If both ourselves and Tampa win every game, whoever wins the game against each other on Tuesday will make the playoffs. If they drop the game against the Habs tonight, we're in the box seat and dropping 1 of the games against the Blackhawks/Caps isnt the end of the world. In a perfect world though Tampa will lose more than one game before the end of the season.

Have to think the Avs hold onto Landeskog now that they're playing in Sweden next season....

Sounds like we just need Toronto to lose 2 games
