If this game wasn't tied, I suspect it would be a lot nastier.

I'm no Doughty fan, but if I was going to punch a guy in the face, it'd be Tkachuk.

Also, this game is taking forever. And on an unrelated note, I really like Calgary's uniforms.

I'll come to you
Have to admit, Tkachuk is a player who is growing on me. Mad respect to a kid who ran his mouth so much before the game and then took the initiative (multiple times) to back it up. He's going to be a fun player to root for in Calgary for a long time.

Chicago wins, Washington wins/Pittsburgh loses.

Looking ahead, Washington is distancing themselves from the pack for both the Metro and President's Trophy. Chicago will be the West top seed, but 5 points back of Washington for the PT.

In other words, it's possible neither Chicago nor Washington will have much at stake when they meet the Bruins.

Of course a lot can change, just getting some wishful thinking going.

Kings play the worssssssst brand of hockey. They are so ****ing boring to watch omg.

They look exactly how I feared the Bruins were heading until DS took over, big, slow and old

Lombardi used to get an absolute ton of praise here from fans and deserved, can`t take 2 Cups away from anyone but you can certainly question his personnel and contractual decisions.

Holy **** Tkachuk just tried to kill Doughty in open ice that was massive. Just missed him. Doughty must be starting to get rattled.

A player with less star power (say Marchand 1.5 year ago) would get looked into for lowbridging. Tkachuk ended up taking a much bigger risk from that hit than Doughty would have had he stood up instead of throwing himself aside.

Drew Doughty is a mouse in my books.

Given how they are on play off life support can see why he and or Kings managements thinking was that he was despertalely needed on the ice given their situation and not in the box. I'll give him a pass because of that and wait for a less meaningful situation where he would be more inclined to settle things with Tkachuk.

I agree with this completely. The Flames clinched a playoff spot with a victory last night, and Tkachuk would have been considered a hero if he got LA's #1 D off for 5 minutes. Ultimately Calgary will clinch and LA will be eliminated, but the Kings didn't want it happening in that game.

Lucic and Sekera contracts are going to bite him.

True, but in the cap era, term is a bargaining chip that can sway a player. I have a feeling we may be regretting the Backes contract more than Edmonton will be regretting Lucic's.

Great news - 8 minutes into the game and Philly is up 3-0 over the Islanders. :handclap:

When Dale Weise and Radko Gudas (neither of whom I like, needless to say) score on you within four minutes of each other (with Couturier scoring in between for good measure), you're in trouble.

If Bruins win and Leafs, Isles, Lightning and Canes somehow all lose, it would be quite a night (almost to the point that I can excuse the :30 start :laugh)

4-0 now, Weal
