NHL Network is still talking about Ho-Sang wearing 66. At least the guys on there now don't see a problem with it. Maybe common sense is finally prevailing. They also compared him to Pastrnak. I've never seen Ho-Sang play so I don't know if that's a fair comparison.

Also, the nerve of that Pastrnak kid, wearing the number of Hall of Famer Lindros. :sarcasm:

If Mario is cool with it (and no reason to believe he's not), then the rest of the hockey world should be cool with it as well.

Even if Mario hated it, it shouldn't matter. I think it's silly that 99 can't be used. You can respect the accomplishments of great players without resorting to that type of thing.

Of course, I was never a big fan of either Gretzky or Lemieux, but I would say that even when the day comes that they tell players they can't wear 37 anymore. :sarcasm:

I've been able to catch parts of some games with Ho Sang, and thought he looked good. Doug Weight uses him in key situations, too.

And from what I've seen, he hasn't done anything questionable to draw attention to himself.

Wow, Islanders giving up 8 goals to the Hurricanes?

Yeesh. Didn't think the 'Canes could help us too much given the Islanders' play of late at home, but good on them.

About a week and change ago I got the feeling all the teams we're running against weren't going to lose much moving forward...seems to be holding up...

Feels like if we lose 2 more games we're in trouble. Lol

Tampa now 11-2-3 in there last 16

And don't look to be slowing down anytime soon

And with injuries, it's freakin bananas. They did catch a night without Hank, not to say that's a auto loss, and scored 3 on 16 shots. Freakin 16 shots.

I keep feeling this way as well, which just doesn't make sense.... This is an enormous trip to say the least, could actually make or break them.

A win tonight and we are 4 points up on the Leafs and 5 on Tampa and NYI .

So Arizona beat Colorado 1-0 tonight. I bet the entertainment factor in that game was -43 lol.

Nashville and Winnipeg was crazy.

Tampa can't complain about not being opportunistic... 3 goals on 16 shots.

So 25 points in 16 games? Bruins have 22 in their last 14 (since coaching change), for a (very) slightly better points per average and that's without loser points. Let's hope they can keep it up. Wouldn't mind Tampa making it over Toronto anyway.

A glimmer of hope that all is not lost just yet with efforts to address the off side debacle. The reason given for not changing it at the recent GM's meeting is incredibly lame. Quote below on the topic is from Friedman's 30 thoughts article. He also has some good insight on which teams are looking to acquire NCAA players available. Entire article is included in the link below.

"13. No one will discuss it, but I think the GMs wanted to take a longer look at altering the offside rule at their meetings. But there was strong pushback. One of the concerns was injuries, that skates would be in the air and people would get cut. That rationale led to grumbling, but the rule wasn’t going to be changed."

And the great Duchene that some had proposal with 4 top-prospects package to get him is in a 11 pointeless streak.

Not to mention Landeskog has 6 points in his last 16 games...

Yeah, I hope that Boston steers very clear of those two during the off-season. They quit on the Avalanche's season, which is not something that a team wants to see in a player. This is to say nothing of Landeskog's declining offensive numbers over the past few seasons.
