Some of the posters on the Hawks board think they know what the trade might be(probably BS but), apparently it's a big one

Please hockey gods, don't allow the Blackhawks to trade Seabrook to some team with a dumb GM

Just once let them suffer

If Chicago manages to offload Seabrook and we are stuck with Staal, I am going to be depressed all summer

Hopefully no GM is dumb enough to take that contract on. Chicago would have to throw in multiple high round picks & possibly retain salary to get a deal done with Seabrook going the other way.

However if you read the thread on the main board, some of those genius' think Chicago is not only going to unload Seabrook, but they're going to get a king's ransom in return for him; Players, picks & cap space.

A bunch of those posters also think Chicago is gonna dump Panarin, but I don't see that happening either.

IMO, the most likely scenario would be getting Hossa to waive for a contending team & throwing in a decent draft pick for some cap relief. The Hawks would probably get a mid level prospect & a mid-low round pick (3rd/4th) in return.

I think Seabrook is far more tradeable than Staal. He has better name brand value, is a three time cup winner, is still a ~40 point defenseman, etc. I think he'll be difficult to trade, but not impossible. Whereas I would say there's a less than 1% chance that Staal is movable without retention or assets attached.

I could easily see Seabrook to Vegas, it makes a ton of sense.

What do they know? It better just be wishful thinking because if people seriously believe Seabrook can be traded for valuable assets, they will be in for a shock

19. Interesting: David Poile said he had a good phone conversation with Glen Sather between Games 2 and 3 of the Final.

“He told me we were doing things right and still in it,” the Nashville GM said. “When you’re down, your belief gets shaken a bit. It’s good to be reminded that you’re doing the right things.”

I would love the off-season to begin as soon as possible, but I really hope this goes to Game 7.

Rooting for Nashville to win in triple OT, tonight, and Pitt to win in triple OT in Game 7.

Why would anyone root for the off-season to start? All those exciting days without hockey?

This series has been pretty garbo IMO. One of the worst SC series I've seen.

Just finish it tonight please.
