Piccinich alone has no shot. Piccinich already plays with 2 locks, which was my point for including him as the somewhat token off-the-board USA pick.

When does the invite list come out? Usually late November right?

I wanted to throw this name out there, what about Dylan Gambrell? Was a good player in the USHL for the Fighting Saints and he's played well so far for Denver. I'm not saying this guy could be an off the wall pick, but he might get some consideration next year.

He's a 1996 so not eligible next year

How about DeBrincat?

Small but leading the OHL in scoring over names like Marner?

He's gotta be on this team. For once take the better talent over one player in your USA hockey system. Please.

Debrincat is a very talented player, but people have to realize some of our best players don't always go the CHL route. Lots of other high end players that had they gone to the CHL many Canadians would know who they are, but because they don't you just assume they are less than. Debrincat should for sure get an invite to main camp. I'd like to see how he does, I like him as a player a lot.

we have a lot of smaller dynamic talent this year - Garland, DeBrincat, Keller, Bracco and Yamamoto...bring them all and see the havoc they create on the ice

Good list AD. I totally agree with your group of seven D.

I'll be very sad if they bring Collins, which I bet they will. He's awful.

I think we should all be prepared to see the massive pylon Collins out there...I hope USA Hockey doesn't bring him back as size isn't that important in a tourney like this, skill is - and he lacks it big time.

Names like Max Jones and JJ Piccinich have no business coming up for this team.

disagree on Jones.

he plays a better 200ft game than Tkachuk, has all the size and skill you could ask for plus grit. Yes he is a 98', but as I said I do not care. 6'2 200 plus power forward with skill is all I care about here.

Much rather see him over some grinder that will likely be brought for the 13th forward. Top 10 pick that most years we simply do not have come draft time. The only way he is left off is because of depth with the current crop of forwards not because he doesn't belong here.

another name that I am not seeing a lot of is Luke Kunin.

having a solid freshman year on a weak Wisconsin team. Ranked in the top 30 of this upcoming draft by most scouting services and comes with the coveted USNDP experience.

Just saying that he is a serious name to consider as he is a lock for a camp evite at least but do not be surprised if he makes this squad with his familiarity with the USNDP and his overall skillset.

I like him a lot and wouldn't complain if he makes it, just another under the radar name to keep tabs on.

I like Kunin, Bellows or Keller as a 13th forward for this team. IMO they stay with products of USA Hockey. This year that will be just fine as their is plenty of forward depth. Forward depth won't be the issue.

Could see Jones in a similar position to Lawson Crouse on Canada last year

would love any of those to be honest...also Dominic Turgeon has to be in the mix as well..solid two-way player that can fit a number of roles...wouldn't be surprised to see him on this 4th line either, USA Hockey loves the kid.

I am going to go a bit different since we are all throwing these names out there..

though I posted what I hoped team USA looks like, I am going to post what I think they pick for this team as it does differ from my team.

Tuch - Dvorack - Milano
Tkachuk - Matthews - Roslovic
Connor - Schmaltz - Boeser
Kunin - White - Bracco
Turgeon

Werenski - Carlo
Belpedio - Walman
McAvoy - Collins
Krys

Nedeljkovic
Halverson
Opilka

players left off: DeBrincat, MacInnis, Max Jones, Fischer, Garland, Bellows, Keller, Donato, Bittner, Yan, Warren,

LOL good luck with that roster versus Canada or Finland who will be fielding forward lines that are extremely skilled down all four lines. If USA doesn't take a few of DeBrincat, MacInnis, Jones and Garland they will not have enough firepower to win this tournament. They are going to need lots of skill up front because both their defence and goaltending is suspect this year.

Conor Garland will not make this team. He probably won't even be invited. DeBrincat will get invited, and I think he'll probably make it.

And that is why USA will not win this tournament. The same problem was evident last year...the CHL is the top development league in the world for hockey and the fact they would not even invite the QMJHL leading scorer to camp to give him a look would be a big mistake.

They'll be fine as far as their offensive depth, one out of those four that you named should get a hard look, and thats Debrincat.
