From what I saw from the Swiss in the Pre-Competition games, they look legit and could get over the hump this year. Still disappointing regarding Fiala though.

My gosh. The goalies are terrible the last 2 years for Switzerland.
It is a problem we have to work very seriously. This year percentage: 82%

For the men squad, Berra and Genoni are the only 2 decent goalies in Switzerland. Shameful...

For the junior squad, all are weak.

one of the most undisciplined teams ive seen in a tournament at any age level.
No kidding. I'm glad to see they're getting wrecked and I hope their joke of a coach is getting fired. I don't have a clue what they are trying to accomplish with their idiotic playing style. How did that Canadian train wreck of a coach get the job? Good riddance when they're eliminated and hopefully relegated. That's what they've deserved. I'm very disappointed, because Swiss hockey is much better than this shameful display.

Fust should go.
And the guys, well at least they wanted hard to win ... And not being channeled by some systems or some game style, they displayed their energy with undisciplined and isolated attempts.
No Swiss team showed up so poorly than this one in years.

I was not liking Chelio ... but after having seen that ... Bring Chelio back.

And hopefully they do not get relegated.

Good to hear. I cannot see games cause i m in phuket. But i read it is not a team but bunch of guys playing by themshelf.

Seeing them is worse, because you get some moments were you can hope. Appart of that, they screw up on the worst moments. Recipe for fans frustration.

Van Pottelberghe actually played very good vs. DEN and CAN, he's not to blame for the loss.

Fust failed twice. Both teams were said to be very strong and very talented, I still believe that. Fust will not get an extension, that seems to be clear. But who to follow him?

I'm honestly hoping for a new face. The Swiss "old boys club" amongst the coaches needs a massive slap in the face as they are still living in 05 strategy-wise. Just look at the NLA and the teams that are coached by a Swiss: Do you see any team that plays a strong possession game? Do you know of any coaches or teams which actually take advanced stats into serious consideration? I seriously doubt it. Even AdC, who's arguably one of the greatest Swiss coaches of all time, is coaching a team that gets outshot by quite an impressive margin with a fairly decent roster.

Swiss hockey is currently living with the illusion that they are playing with the big boys now. They don't realize that they still have to be more inventive, creative and hard-working than everybody ranked higher to close the gap.

That's at least how I feel. As absurd as it sounds, but I think the silver medal wasn't only a fluke, it could turn out to be a curse for our future. Because if I had to describe the current vibe in Swiss hockey with a single word, it would be "complacent". "Selbstgefällig".

But perhaps it's just me overreacting to the past 2-3 years and I'm just seeing things that aren't here.

How about Marc Crawford? Seems to enjoy coaching in Switzerland, would be an interesting choice. Maybe even Ted Nolan, he did a great job with the Latvian program when he was there

Don't think that one of the big names consider to get hired for a swiss junior team.
