Goalies:
Alexander Georgiev
Ilya Samsonov
Maxim Tretiak

Defence:
Ivan Provorov
Dmitrii Sergeev
Aleksandar Mikulovich
Damir Sharipzyanov
Sergei Boikov
Sergey Zborovsky
Nikita Zhuldikov
Egor Rykov
Nikita Liamkin
Igor Voronkov

Forwards:
Vladislav Kamenev
Egveni Svechnikov
Maxim Lazarev
Yakov Trenin
Radel Fazleev
Denis Guryanov
Artur Lauta
Alexander Dergachev
Alexander Polunin
Kirill Kaprizov
Pavel Kraskovsky
Andrei Svetlakov
Artem Zhelezkov
Andrey Kuzmenko
Arkhip Nekolenko

Glaring absence is Pilipenko, but he was a disappointment at SS. Bragin it seems did not like him.

Disappointed that Sergachev will not get a look, but he is young and it is not a big deal. Surprised Afonasevsky did not get an invite.

Tretiak - ****ing LOL. Hoping this is for show.

Big question for me - if Kaprizov and Kamenev are together on the top line, who joins them?

When does the camp start? The Leader Post article makes mention of Zborovskiy leaving tomorrow but not when he camp starts. I'm assuming the Screaming Eagles are going to be without Svechnikov and Lazarev this weekend.

How does Mikulovich make the roster and not Sergachyov? What does he bring that Sergachyov doesn't? Seems odd.

Bragin loves Mikulovich.

But to answer your question, they are different kinds of players. I have seen Bragin use Mikulovich to do some dirty work and defend near the net. Sergachev brings more of a puck moving presence and Russia has that covered fairly well.

Mikulovich also has a good track record for the national team. I would have liked to see both on the team, but oh well.

No surprises here. The defense is heavily CHL, which was expected. Up front, All the guys that need to be there are there. Glad to see the 2 guys I have been high on getting an invite - Kuzmenko and Polunin, both highly skilled, should help boost the offense. I could care less about Zhelezkov, Lauta, Nekolenko, Svetlakov. 2 out of those 4 wont be on the final, Svetlakov will because Bragin loves him -your grinder type guy.

1st time in a while I cant really complain about any glaring omissions. Would have liked to see Letunov get an invite and maybe Nikolishin, former NT captain of U17 championship team. Obviously Bragin has no say about Tretyak, what travesty that is.

Not even invited to SS, so expectations were always slim.
yep, i personally would have liked if bragin had given him a look at ss. i remember him dominating laine and the likes on the big ice in dmitrov. well, at least he's not rumyantsev. ivanuzhenkov and tretiak on the sameteam'd be a thing to cherish.

What is Russia's 1st PP unit? D and Forwards?
Defence:
Provorov
Maybe Sharipzyanov or Sergeev

Some of these forwards:
Kamenev
Svechnikov
Kaprizov
Lazarev
Guryanov
Maybe Trenin or Polunin

There is a problem with offensive minded defs.

I dunno, Dergachyov perhaps?

I think Bragin will keep Svechnikov-Lazarev, and Kraskovsky-Korshkov together.....which leaves Dergachyov available on a RW. Saying that, Dergachyov played exclusively with Svetlakov at the SSS. Although, a Svechnikov- Kamenev-Lazarev line would also look nice too.

Svechnikov - xxxxxxx - Lazarev
xxxxxxx - Kraskovsky - Korshkov
xxxxxxx - xxxxxxxxxx- Dergachyov
xxxxxxx - xxxxxxxxx - xxxxxxxxxx

Radel Fazleyev is 6th in WHL scoring at this moment (42 points), next closest forward on Calgary Hitmen has 24 points. He should make team Russia, imo.

Your opinions?

He played decent in the SS but it'll depend on what type of team Russia wants to have. He's putting up some decent points here, but I think his real bread and butter is his defensive play and faceoffs and they have a few respectable centers penciled in. He deserves it.

Is Dergachyov healthy now?
