Svechnikov must be hurt or something...How can a player of this caliber be so bad?
And watching Vovchenko score every other game in the KHL pains me even more.
Congratulations to Bragin! He has coached the team 5 times since 2005 (once as assistant in 2005 and 4 times as primary coach), and they have reached the Gold Medal game every time. Tomorrow let's finish the job!

Am I the only one here who think that our MVPs are Dergachyov and Fazleyev? They do absolutely brilliant job keeping possession.
I wondered about that. As far as one can tell with the naked eye, he looks healthy as far as I can tell. In fact, as a pure skater, he might be Russia's best. With his wide stance and fluid stride, his style reminds me a bit of Connor McDavid. Hopefully, tonight is his night!

No worries, another tournament ended in Silver. The important thing is to learn and grow and be a better player soon either in NHL or KHL. Gold or Silver doesn't matter.
Provorov is going to be a beast.
Is it me, or was this kind of different Russian team then what we are used to?
They didn't have a great deal of offensive fire-power, unlike most other years. But the physical play, forecheck, good penalty kill, defensive positioning were all among the best in the tournament and possibly even the best.
Some of the most recent Russian teams relied on their star offensive player and their goaltenders standing on their heads.
