Good luck to the Fins. Don't think you will need it. Not Canada's year.
It's mind boggling Finland has all the best goalies every year in every league and games, once they have offensive talent.. goalies sucks first time ever![]()
To me, the choice between Kähkönen and Vehviläinen should not be even close. If a goalie can't handle the basic requirement for this level - as in, catch every shot he sees with 99% accuracy - his ability to pull the occasional game saver won't make up for that fact.

My god that team was awful to watch. So much talent yet nothing to show for it. It seemed like the team didn't even have a game plan and the players just came in to play without definite purpose as if it was pond hockey.
God, don't even remind me... That tournament was a Via Dolorosa right from the start all the way to the relegation round. The team was in a constant state of panic.
Anyone know why Puljujärvi doesn't have swedish citizenship if he was born in Sweden? Or did he have it initially but turned it down after a few years?
Does he speak swedish?

I think he was just born there to Finnish parents living in Sweden at the time and was raised in Finland. Don't think he even qualifies for Swedish citizenship.
However, I know absolutely nothing about his background so I am not speaking for a fact. It's just not noteworthy these days for a Finnish kid to have born in Sweden while having no other connection to the country.
His family moved to Finland when he was 4 and his parents are Finnish so maybe they just felt like he doesn't need a Swedish citizenship. I very much doubt he knows the language either. Someone probably knows better.
Alright, too bad. Don't the kids learn swedish in finnish schools anymore? From my experience, quite a few finnish people (excluding finnish-swedes) can make them themselves understood and "get around" with their swedish atleast. So I would be surprised if he doesn't speak some of it, especially if his parents have a history of living in Sweden.
It is still compulsory language in schools but I think when others did their homework he was practicing his shot.Alright, too bad. Don't the kids learn swedish in finnish schools anymore? Yes we do but most people don't have any motivation to learn Swedish so people end up knowing like three words and nothing else. And he has been a great athlete for his whole life so I doubt he's given school much thought.
Tshekki-ottelu oli Suomelle hankala vatsapöpön vuoksi ohentuneen pakkiosaston takia ja Miska Siikonen joutui tuuraamaan puolustajan tontilla. Jalosen mukaan terveystilanne on kohentumassa.
- Vaikea sanoa.

Finland had many years with very limited alents coming up. Now the recent years, you have had BOUNDS of amazing young players coming through the ranks.
As a Swede, this troubles me!, haha...
Even with less talented teams, you have always been a pain in our *****!
What's your secret and can you please share the wealth??![]()
Some kind of a health update from Jalonen:
