Did the Tulo apologists not make the exact same argument? the "oh it's such a small sample size, he'll be fine" spiel and apparently anyone was an idiot for wanting Tulo moved out of the leadoff spot just because he wasn't hitting for 2-3 weeks even though his timing looked awful and he wasn't making good contact. But no, obviously idiots because the sample size was small. Even though the signs were right and Tulowitzki still wasn't hitting well as the season went on.
At the end of the day the future will determine what the right move is. No point arguing about future events that none of us can predict. But Sanchez does not look like somebody who can be trusted to get a big out, or outs, in a big game at the moment, unlike Osuna who still looks solid even though he may have blown a save or two. So we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
