Had the privilege of attending the Spengler Cup one time, it rates right up there as one of my greatest hockey fandom experiences. I would highly recommend it anybody who has yet to spend Christmas and New Year in Davos.

Congratulations to Team Canada. My Lugano played a good game but ultimately came up short, nothing to be ashamed of.

Try to watch some games first, I even think Davos and Lugano could compete in the KHL. And I really hope you were joking about Riga, because that's simply a lie.

Nope. The players and head coach of Jokerit said that they are just having fun. Meaning that the tournament is meaningless. Means that they lose on purpose and avoiding injuries. Jokerit went to Spengler just because KHL plays on christmas so Jokerit avoided away games in Siberia. They took families to davos and spent christmas there.
Stupid tournament.

Wait, so are you inferring that Jokerit didn't take this tournament seriously, but instead all other teams did?
Every team is there for fun (do you think only Jokerit brought their families along???). The Spengler Cup is a friendly, invitational tournament. Sort of an exhibition and nothing more. So, the amount of effort is pretty much the same for everybody.
The simple fact is that Jokerit, in a tournament where everyone gave a so so effort + took it as an extended holiday, didn't win it all... didn't get to the finals either... and didn't even manage to win their group. To sum it up, Jokerit didn't do anything.
It might be a "stupid tournament" for you, for most people I believe it is a bit of hockey during the holidays, which is better than NO hockey.

Nope. Watched last year couple of games and it was terrible to watch. Fingers crossed watched and hoping that no injuries especially against Team Canada
Thank god we lost and no injuries. Boring tournament.
