Marner has 2 Goals 4 Assists and a +3. I think he is an absolutely dynamic talent from the games I've seen him play. 11 pts in 3 games in the playoffs so far.

Ur numbers are probably right. Ridiculous output so far

Evander Kane is 9, his favorite number 11 is retired. He's also worn 12, 15, 18 and 46 in international play.

Out of those I like 15 the best, but it wouldn't really surprise me if he picked a number he has never worn before like 91 or something, that number seems to be really popular for young star centers. I personally love any number in the 90's

What about 90? ROR is the only one in the NHL currently wearing it.......

:dunno:

Toews didn't jump right to the pros. My guess is that the team will want him to turn pro (basically providing hope to the fanbase after 2 lost seasons), but, I'd be ok with him going back to college. It's not like it will hurt his development.
I think it's very unlikely. The concrete question that an outlet like the NYT probably can't answer are what particular parts of his game would likely develop better against lesser competition. Because the reason you hold most players back is they aren't prepared to play an NHL role, and that plainly isn't the case with eichel.

If there's an argument about parts of his game being better off developing in the collegiate level, I'm not willing to bet on what they are. I think we'd only really see them when he hit training camp/exhibition.

My bet is NYT is just asking the obvious layperson question for their lay audience.

Assuming no career-threatening or dampening injury occurs.

I doubt very highly he'll spend another moment playing anywhere but the NHL after the draft.

Has anyone ever asked Murray about the gap between 3rd and 2nd rated prospects this year?

Malkin spent 2 years in russia post draft

I agree he would probably make the jump immediately, but it's not a given he'll dress right away. Lot's of factors, including what he wants to do, come into play.

he is holding that answer close to his vest... just in case we finish third

I found some audio from February 23rd. He was asked who the top 5 were, then Peters said McEichel, Hanifin, Crouse and Strome. Murray said that's close.

Gave a quick report on all.

McEichel - #1 center
Hanifin - #1 D
Crouse - power forward
Strome - Puck distributing center. Did not call him a #1 center.

So it will be Hanifin if we get 3.

Marner's not even in his top 5, I guess.

Murray didn't give a top 5, that's Peters 5. Murray just said it's close.

So Marner could be part of the 5. He is a wildcard. I watch Marner and see Patrick Kane.

Yes it is possible. I think I mentioned it on some thread months ago.

I dont know if the rules in the NCAA on transfering schools apply the same in hockey as they do in football where a player needs to sit out a season.

Could you have him transfer to to Canisuis?

Why the heck would he want to do that?

Not sure Eichel will turn down a million dollar salary plus the chance at endorsements for the city he plays for so he can return back to college.
