Not true. Jack Eichel was the reason USA was bad at the WJC.Most amazing thing about Eichel and McDavid?
Not one time have we heard a question mark or disappointment about either of them, they have not only matched the hype but have exceeded it. The last player to do that was Sidney Crosby.

Eh. It wasn't the fact that two of USAs lines didn't deserve to be anywhere near the WJC team. It was Eich's fault. That still cracks me up, because I've went back and watched games and he was a man amongst boys out there.

There's no denying he let the burden on his shoulders drive him to a poor approach the last few games as far as trying to do too much, but yeah. He was a great player for that team, a team that showed it simply didn't have the experienced talent to be a threat, on top of some pretty awful coaching decisions in my book. His linemates were pretty underwhelming most of the tournament. Compare to what Reinhart and McDavid got from their wingers. It's not even close. There were a games where I thought Hanifin was the best player for USA but Eichel was definitely the best player overall. It amazes me the way people reacted.
Tim Murray in the house again tonight
FYI he mentioned Zacha and Strome in that group after the top guys, but also Dermott and Korostelev are top 60 picks.

4 minute mark from Button. Eichel the 3rd best prospect since Crosby.
1.) Crosby
2.) McDavid
3.) Eichel
Have to finish last boys.
Stamkos wasn't that highly hyped in his draft year.If he's as good as Stamkos, this was worth every second of misery. If he's better than Stamkos, I would do it 10 more times.
NHL Network or NBCSN better simulcast the results.....
Who is going to be our this year's late-round pick from MODO? Ullmark, Possler, Olofsson... They can't end the row this year, can they?

Prior to every season, NHL Central Scouting has already evaluated hundreds of the top prospects eligible for the upcoming NHL Draft.
In addition to putting together meticulous reports and sharing those details with their colleagues, it's also required that each prospect submit some necessary paperwork.
So even before Erie Otters captain Connor McDavid and Boston University freshman Jack Eichel begin to impress, they've already completed the NHL Central Scouting questionnaire.

Boston University freshman Jack Eichel was determined from day one to not only be a success story, but one of the best college hockey players to ever play the game.
He's certainly on that path.
Eichel, the fourth-youngest player in college hockey and No. 2 on NHL Central Scouting's midterm ranking of the top North American skates eligible for the 2015 NHL Draft, is expected to hear his name announced in short order on the opening day of the draft at BB&T Center in Sunrise, Fla., on June 26.
Eichel, 18, recently took some time out of his busy schedule to answer five intriguing questions prior to the start of the 16-team NCAA ice hockey tournament that begins Friday. Boston University will play Yale University in the first round. The Frozen Four will be hosted by Hockey East at TD Garden in Boston, April 9-11.
McDavid:When asked for his ambition outside of hockey in September 2014, Eichel wrote: "Be a good father someday."
McDavid, who submitted his questionnaire in September 2013, wrote: "I would like to be a lawyer if my hockey career does not work out."
Another delusional Leafs fan pumping up their mediocre playersWho is the NHL player your play would most likely be compared to: "Tyler Bozak because he is a good skater and is more of a pass-first type of guy."
Stamkos wasn't that highly hyped in his draft year.
McDavid:

Eichel said Jeff Carter. Pretty strong comparison. Hanifin said Doughty, Crouse said Lucic, and Strome said Thornton, which is the best comparison for him imo.
no they haven't,no game tonight and there were many Saturday nights where there was a different game on.No worries:
1. NHL Network has been showing the Hockey Night in Canada broadcast every Saturday during the season - and the league chose the lottery date for the TV attention it will draw on a weekend.
