at this rate i'd rather we not touch a ****ing thing on this roster, they look really good and hungry this season and i'm worried about potentially shaking up the locker room at all
I would move Gaborik this year if there is a taker just to get the hit off the books.
It would definitely give DL the flexibility to retain Lucic
Gaborik is 5th on the team in Goals. Not sure I'd look to move his contract.
Greene could be moved out, but it's nice having a 3rd pairing D that can PK in case one of the top 4 gets a penalty. Team is built on defense first if Greene were moved I believe a similar replacement would be brought in.

yesterday kopi made a short interview for slovenian media (source: http://www.rtvslo.si/sport/citat-za-prebrat/anze-kopitar/383028). about the contract: first he was disapointed, "lak advertised to sign the contract around the start of 15/16 season." after that: "now we're still fighting for it." a big interview is coming tomorrow, i'll keep you posted.
today nothing came in, yesterday evening it was promised, a big interview with kopi, but nothing came in, media is silent, silenzio stampa. just a guess, lak & kopi signing the papers right now, mhm, mhm? 9.30 pm here.
Scoring for the Kings was center Anze Kopitar, his 11th goal. After a slow start, Kopitar has 11 points in the eight games since the Christmas break. Kopitar has been held off the score sheet in only three games since going pointless at Columbus on Dec. 8.
"He's taken on more of the 'my team mentality.' I think you can see that," Sutter said. "He's demonstrated emotion way more on a game-to-game basis than ever. He has got that attitude: If you want to beat us, 'Come through me.' "

You can see it not just in his points but in his play. Going through 2 and 3 guys on the boards routinely.
Yeah winning is cool but do you know how many threads we could generate by adding Byfuglien to Lucic, Brown, McNabb, Doughty, and Quick? And assassin Jeff Carter?
(really though I'd still like to get McNabb off the top pairing)
Schenn?
But Greene is out for the year regardless so his salary isn't an issue this year.
gaborik is having a great month or so here, but I would still move him out in the off season for cap space that is needed.
basically would rather have lucic than Gaborik.
That's guess #1. UFA, is he a fit, how much does he want, are there other targets DL is drooling over? Oh yeah is Greene coming back?

Any chance we'll see Kempe in the NHL this season?
Just a brief note on oil. Projections on business networks today are that 33% of U.S. oil companies will go bankrupt by 2017. How will Canadian oil companies fair? Economic realities are what is holding up Kopitar's contract.
