3-4 weeks for Seguin... probably puts him out for most, if not all of the 1st round (I'm betting on it really being 4).

Playoffs don't start for 3.5 weeks. I wouldn't bet on him missing any playoff games.

probably won't be 100% to start though.

i think this might make them fall int he standings. it might actually hurt avs chances of success in playoffs, assuming they make it. of the 4 contenders for conference winner, dallas easily fits avs the best. and this will hurt them in terms of securing that spot.

Oh yeah, I'm sure he won't be 100%, and I'm sure if it was earlier in the year, he'd be out longer, but I doubt he misses any playoff time.

I think they put that timeline out there for him to be ready by the playoffs for the fans. Who was the last player that had this injury and what the recovery? Karlsson came back after a full tear in 2 months. I really can't see it being only a 3 week injury... at least 4, but 4-6 weeks seems more reasonable to me.

I doubt he misses any playoff games either. If he does I bet he's back in after the first Stars playoff loss.

Sucks for Stars fans. Very similar to McGinn kneeing Duchene in game 71, two years ago.

I don't know what the recovery time is, but it doesn't sound like it's as bad as the Karlsson injury, so maybe the recovery time is less.

I ruptured mine (fully) when I was 18... it still isn't 100%, but it took 6-7 months before I was even 90%. It is a tough injury.

I've read somethings that say there isn't much difference between a partial and full tear... read somethings that say it is about half the recovery time. I'll be surprised if Seguin starts the 1st round on time.

my understanding is that it depends on the spot were the partial tear is.

I can see that. Mine tore from the side near the heel (dislocated ankle along with it). I could see a higher up one that was sliced being a quicker recovery.

well Its possible if we hold on and are in PO.. IF IF IF , that we could play Dallas, St L also looks possible as due Kings.. I so want us to match up with Kings.. I honestly think we are really a good team now at least playing good teams...
regardless its like the playoffs now which IMO is a HUGE BONUS

GO AVS.. for those who did not see mini lose it was an ugly beat down, Mini seriously was outplayed... for our own sake lets hope we can win our way in, but mini losing is a help.. I remember that other team in Denver backing in and winning it all! ha

GO AVS JUST WIN by a large margin

I'd think there is a big difference between a ruptured/torn Achilles and one that has a cut from an external source.

[MOD EDIT]

Pic of Seguin's ankle, some may find it graphic, so I put it in Collapse tags; view at your own risk

Man, you gotta put that in a spoiler tag or something. Ugh. That's nasty.
