It's great that the oilers actually beat the Wild but this all goes to scratch again if we lose our next one. At least I can't watch any unless I make myself look like an American.
The redesign goes from horrible to atrocious.

Looks like they want to avoid any visits to their site.

Just to make this even more ridiculous, I'm able to watch the Yahoo free matches in Finland which should not be possible due to the licensing agreement between NHL and Viasat (who have all the NHL rights in the Nordic countries).

So I'm able to watch full matches for free, but not allowed to watch highlights.
It's all just such a mess

The problem with Quebec is that it would require one Eastern team to go west, and there seems to be huge reluctance to bring CBJ or Detroit back west.
Can't see how it would logistically work in any possible way if the option above is a no-go.

Of course they could relocate a team back west, like the Hurricanes or Panthers, but I don't think NHL can bank on that.
And the Panthers seem to have gotten a lot of life with Ekblad, Barkov and Jagr.

Hockey will be in Seattle at some point in the next 5-10 years, but the NHL can adjust the divisions when they come in.

I know the Illitch's or whoever will jump up and down and cry about it but 20 something years of rivalries and history out west and it just gets tossed out like that. Its felt off ever since they moved. CLB fits way better out east imo.

NHL is still praying that Seattle gets its **** together to make a realistic bid. Sending them the Panthros could not only balance the conferences for Vegas and Quebec expansion team, but also capture many of the local sports fans who are growing bored of the Seahawks. Especially if the NHL could name the new Seattle team the Supersonics.
