On my DirecTV guide, I have 3 games listed tomorrow on NBCSN, didn't say which ones yet but nothing for the Saturday Semi-Final games. Are they not televising the Saturday games at all? NBCSN has Preakness coverage most of the afternoon. Is NHL Network picking these up?

"NBC Sports Group -- via NBCSN and NBC Sports Live Extra -- will provide exclusive live broadcast coverage of all Team USA games during the 2015 IIHF Men's World Hockey Championship.

The tournament, which runs from May 1-17 in Ostrava and Prague, Czech Republic, features a collection of the best players in the world from 16 nations.

Team USA opens play Friday (May 1) against Finland, with live coverage on NBCSN at 10 a.m. ET, in what will be the first of seven preliminary round games for the U.S. Five of Team USA's seven preliminary round games will air live on NBCSN with the other two slated to be broadcast on a same-day delayed basis. In addition, NBCSN will likely air all other Team USA games, including possible action in the quarterfinals, semifinals and the gold or bronze-medal game.

All Team USA games will be streamed live through NBC Sports Live Extra, the live streaming product for desktops, mobile devices, and tablets. The NBC Sports Live Extra app is available on the iTunes App Store, Google Play and Windows Store."

Time Warner has the game in my area, out in California, has the broadcast and it had the QF last season as well.

My DirecTV guide says on NBCSN:

USA/Swiss 9am live eastern
Canada/Belarus 11:30am live eastern

They aren't even on the same time, what is the confusion thinking they are showing Canada instead of USA?

What is making the US this good? o.O

I just don't get it!

I think it starts with the goaltending. The defense has had it's lapses but overall it's been a strength as well. Forward group is underwhelming on paper-but there is a lot of speed and talent that is made for international hockey. I think Richards and the coaching staff has done a good job as well. Kudos to USA Hockey for thinking outside the box and putting together a good team. I'm sure they could have added several more NHL fourth liners but they didn't go that direction this time.

This tournament has always been like that for Canada USA even in the 90s. The only difference is now, the Americans have better skaters, speed, skill depth to choose from which translates better instead of just barely making it out of against average teams. It's also depth.

First I'd say though the results have been very good, it's not like they're stomping on teams. They have a couple strong line combinations, some solid NHL vets mixed with some very good young players who should be future Olympians, and they're getting very strong goaltending from Helly. On paper it doesn't look like much but it's been enough to win games. They have a good amount of team speed and responsible, two-way players. The college kids in this tournament like Eichel and Larkin have been very strong defensively. Going into today I wouldn't have been surprised at all if they lost to the Swiss, because they aren't a powerhouse team in this tournament. I'm not expecting a medal but not even gold would be a big surprise to me at this point. It's been fun so far.

Something I just saw said it will be streaming on NBC Sports Live Extra. Does that mean it won't be on TV in the States?

The USA games have all been on NBCSN and NBC Sports Live Extra so far. Apparently the next one isn't yet in the NBCSN listings but I'd hold out hope that it will be.
