Are the kids starting to believe a bit?

Great performance by the team today, especially defensively. They kept a high powered Russian team at bay for most of the game, and 1 of Russia's two goals was scored by Team USA.

Russia is a still the favorite from our group (and rightfully so) but this could do wonders for our team going forward. But they can't slip up as earning the first seed in the group would be huge.

Torey Krug is something else. Small but damn is he a great player. He really knows how to leverage himself effectively. I think he's turning heads at USAH for the World Cup.

want makes me even more excited....Eichel and Matthews here next year as locks...hahaha that is going to be awesome 1-2 punch and legit talent down the middle..

I really like how the US responded to the late goal by Russia. Having a few days off before they head into the weekend to work on some things, the PP, will really help as they look to try n take their group.

Dcorp is absolutely the strength anlong with the team speed from the forwards. Faulk still has some puck giggles that he needs to work on of he is going to get that amont of TOI. Leave Redmond in and Gardnier for Pete's sake!

I was talking a lot of trash about this squad. Always glad to be wrong.

Ditto

But let's understand one thing...Richards is a great coach imo..and when we have good coaching our teams just play so much better...keep bringing the kids and speedsters if this is what we can do on the big ice...and our young do is only getting better with Werenski and Hanifin on the way...plus McCabe and Ghost as well...lots to love on our blue line going forward..

And yes pass the crow to me too please..:yo:

Who's better than the US?

I'd say Russia and Canada, and maybe Czech given the location + Sweeden

That´s the question, will they?

agreed, still need to discuss this as another forward would be huge

Not sure he would come and Montreal would have to continue their play against Tampa to make him available right away. But Patches would be a great fit for this team. Fits the team speed and 200 foot game with tremendous back-checking. Would also give them a world class goal scorer.

Galchenyuk would definitely come and be welcomed big time!

Um guys, I only like cheering for you because you're a happy go lucky underdog, not if you're the best team in the tournament.

:handclap:

If I'm not mistaken, I think you only got room for 1 forward and 1 goalie.

Gaudreau or Galchenyuk

that would be correct, though another goalie isn't happening...

Galchenyuk or Gaudreau either way would be a monster add, I see Galchenyuk coming because of it being in Europe and he probably has more passion for this tourney, but you never Know, Johnny Hockey always surprises..
