@HackswithHaggs: Patrice Bergeron said Chiarelli told him Hockey Canada wanted to "go younger" for world championships, so he wasn't expecting to play
Thanks, he would have been a great addition.

Patrice Bergeron told he is not invited as TC wanted to get "younger"
But Spezza is picked?
Would love Bergy there, but also would like him to get a rest too...
Jets were elimated so one of Little/Ladd/Scheifele could be a late inviteI think Calgary will win the series without a problem now. I would wait for either Tavares or Stamkos. Or maybe one of Little/Ladd/Scheifele. Stone or Turris also wouldn't be a bad option. A lot of possibilities here. Getting Tavares or Stamkos would be huge, but even players like Ladd or Turris could be very useful.
On defence, I think getting Boychuk or Myers would be awesome. Myers wasn't exactly great last year, and he might be better suited for NHL ice, but from what I've watched from the Anaheim-Winnipeg series, he's played very, very good hockey. Doesn't seem to make mistakes, and is playing great defensively imo.
^^
Duchene - Giroux - MacKinnon
O'Reilly - Spezza - Seguin
Hall - McDavid - Eberle
B.Schenn - Couturier - Toffoli
Eakin/Ennis
seriously, this is already maybe the best offence since 2008. I like that 4th line.
Any chance on Crosby playing in WC, if the Pens lose today?
So, you're saying there’s a chance?
many people will tell you there is close to zero chance, but I remember that Crosby once said he wouldn't mind to attend the WHC again some day in the future. And I'd guess Hockey Canada will ask the best player in the world even just for the record. But even to me, it would be a big, BIG surprise. And maybe they already consider rather Tavares or someone else.Any chance on Crosby playing in WC, if the Pens lose today?
Canada has 13 NHL forwards, they wont invite another one

They should not have picked Schenn. That roster spot should have been left open to add a better player than Schenn after the first round.
I Agree and i don't think Rielly will end up going to worlds nothing confirmed or not yet but i know cause of a instagram photo he went to vancouver and i would think if he was going to worlds he likely would of stayed in toronto.
Doesn't really mean too much. If he's still there on Monday, then ya, I'd say he's a no go. There hasn't been, as far as I can gather, any formal 'gathering' of players or coaches, no practices of any kind. Just like last year. I imagine that most of the team will meet for the first time on Monday evening at YYZ for an overnight to wherever they'll set up shop for a few days of practice before their spring European vacation begins next Friday, May 1. Hey, Prague is beautiful in the spring. It's my favorite European springtime getaway as well.
TC is running a mini camp in Vienna. Taylor Hall left today.
