You can't be serious. Tkachyov is nowhere near Nylander offensively. Hell, Tkachyov isn't even on Buchnevich's level.
Hmm, i'm not sure that Nylander is better than Buchnevich :).
Not right now for sure.

Don't understand all the drama about Tkachev, as at the moment attacking movement seems pretty fine. I'm more upset about the decision to take only 12 forwards actually. And more than about Tkachev I'm kind of upset about the cut of Glukhov - I'm remembering about it basially every time there is a chaos on our D, which has been rather often, I still can't understand what Paygin and Cherepanov are doing there over Glukhov, hope they can prove me wrong.

So far, I've been quite impressed with Tolchinsky, he's very fast and can enter the zone independently, dance around defence and start creating chances. Sharov has a really nice shot (as we've seen against Switzerland).

Glukhov is slow and his defensive game isn't so good. He can be useful in the PP, that's true.
And i don't know what's the problem with Paigin. He's doing not so bad.

you are not alone of them parrots. it seems the idea is the more often you say the more right you'll be. not, you are not.

Lets pretend that parrot is not an insult and wewont report it to mods. For the rest: obviously you are theonly source of whats right.

i'm trying to see something good in them, i really am and sure there're some flashes here and there, but overall... just brutal. hey, let's agree to disagree here.

I agree. Leshenko whiffed on the PP wide open net, nothing we didn't see multiple times during the SSS. I don't understand, hes a grinder, not a 1st line PP player. In a close game that's the difference between winning and losing the game decided by coaching error. Those who don't remember history are doomed to repeat it. Too much offense was trimmed from this roster for Russia to win this year. I fear they wont even medal with this team.

Thank God history wasn't remembered last night! The score would have been 3-0.

This is the worst garbage I have ever read on this board from a Russian poster

You may consider it garbage, but I don't see a lot of other posters leaping to your defense! You have been the advocate for the CHL group, particularly the shrimps, but there isn't much to show for them. Tolchinsky has been the best of the CHL shrimps, but I am very dissatisfied with his Harlem Globetrotters approach on the ice. Representative was late in the 3rd last night, down 3-2, a 3-on-2 break materializes, and Tolchinsky has the puck. Instead of using his teammates, he tries one of his individual rushes, and ends up being pushed harmlessly away from the net. He has fabulous skills and a lot of energy, but his "me, me" style of play causes me to question whether he wants to win for the team, or just negotiate a bigger NHL contract?

So Shestyorkin I would assume will be playing tomorrow night? Sorokin has looked shaky in his 2 games while Shestyorkin put on a show for his shutout in his game.

Based on their comparative performances so far, Shestyorkin gets my vote.

Shestyorkin should play against the Czechs. I can't say I fully agree about the criticism Tolchinsky's getting - yes, he does have his 'fancier' moments, but in the game against Sweden he consistently got into the Swedish zone unintercepted and managed to set up attacks, at least from what I saw. He tried some flashy moves at the end of the game against the Swiss, but Russia was leading 7-0 at that point. Let's see how his play and productivity develops as the tournament continues.

That seems to be your problem actually. Sharov ans Mamin look good out there, Your haterism is very obvious. You decided you don't like them so however they play they stay bad to you. Games are ther to be watched. Otherwise we could decide before the tournament who is good and who is not and decide on the scores too if we're at it.

There are pleasant and unpleasant surprises on the team. Talking about how the player who is not there would win it singlehandedly is silly.

Critisizing Tolchinsky is plain out stupid. He's a bright spot on the team. Works hard, creates offence, doesn't shy away from dirty areas. I don't get where ppl critisizibng him get their ideas from.

How was Sorokin shaky in the Sweden game? Again, we get it he is not a Rangers' prospect.

Poor positioning. And its not like im the only one saying it....

Both good goalie prospects. Sorokin played pretty well last night, the game winner wasn't his fault, just a lucky bounce for Sweden. Russia played much better defensively in Shestyorkin's win.

People are being biased and they don't even realize it, criticising Tolchinsky and finding flaws with him because he plays in the CHL saying he isn't playing for Russia and is thinking about the NHL is ridiculous, he's easily been one of Russia's top three forwards. Cherapanov to me looks excellent , I don't see any problems with any of Russia's defense, they will be hard to beat.

Looks like you are the only one, 'cause poor positioning is just the most wrong point to critsize Sorokin's game. Haven't seen any of it in the game.
