Yeah, these two. Cernak will be drafted for sure, he is predictable for 2nd round. Bondra isnt that sure case, but he is a big body skilled winger, an American type of player, 5th-6th round. Patrik Maier if will play well on WJC. And for sure goalie Tomek which is out of this roster will be drafted. By scouts, he is one of the best goalies in this draft year and maybe Patrik Koch who is performing well in USHL can go in late rounds. Not sure if Jaros will go, he is an overager for this draft, but has strong season.

I actually kind of like this roster. Not as good as last year, but no way will they relegate. Slovakia's never been relegated from the top division WJC and this is something which separates us from the bubble nations which bounce around and we need to keep this streak going.

I don't like the goaltending at all. Tomek should be there, but at least first three D pairs are looking much better than last year's.

Lantosi - Rehak - Soltes
Skalicky - Sukel - Koys
Bondra - Kabac - Petras

Rosandic - Cernak
Holenda - Maier
Jendrol - Hochel
Bacik - Pavuk

Gibl (starting goalie)

Jaros, Reway and Godla didn´t play. Any ideas about their positions in lines? IMO, Jaros will be top D with a lot of ice-time both on PP and PK situations and Godla probably starting goalie. Reway as C or RW?

I seem to remember BokroÅ¡ mentioning that the players who would suit Réway the best were Paulovič, Cehlárik, Rosandić and Černák, so I suppose those 5 will make up the first line.

Nice win against the Swiss team last night despite missing two out of our very few top players in Réway and Jaroš.
 
Hochel and Bačik played all season together, so why would you split them up? Jendroľ, which fails on butt at least 5 times per game, is now on the third pairing :help:

Were Koch and or Pospisil close to making this team?

They played for Red Bull at a Midget AAA tournament here in Canada last year that I help organize. Was really hoping they'd make the team and we'd get to see them on TV against Canada

In my opinion they deserve to be on the team, but our coaching staff prefers players from Orange U20 project. Our head coach said they couldn´t find a place for Pospisil. We can´t find a place for 18 year old with more than ppg in the MHL. Funny. Oh, and the defense from our project is even funnier.

Oh good! I'm very curious to follow the Slovak team because I love Hossa and Gaborik in the NHL. I'm going to cheer for them along with Canada. Reway should be fun to watch and I've been reading up on Godla.
 
SVK against CAN

Okolicany as backup was big Bokros mistake. He is very small to play in this type of game against team like Canada. Two easy goals over shoulder. Gibl should be there after third goal.
Every single D-man made a horrible mistake. Rosandic had some positive offensive moments, Bacik was IMO quite solid (and only player with 0 rating), Jendrol finished game with unbelievable -5. :help:
Reway unvisible, no shot, one great pass, rating -4 and of course BP of slovak team. :laugh: Lantosi and Koys with effort in attacking zone. Skalicky was playing in three jerseys (28, 29 and 26) according slovak TV commentator Matus Mazec.
 
The Slovaks looked petrified in front of a big crowd against the home team. They will play betternow that they got their feet wet. The overall talent level seems pretty low which means the Germany game will be massive.
