Bro are you even watching this game lol? Gauthier has done nothing. If Gauthier makes this team over Paul its a crime.

Both will make the team, Gauthier is playing well. Stop judging players only because you know they are battelling with your favorite player. Give him the credit he deserves for once please.

Gauthier has been pretty poor this game. Holds and hooks quite a bit. I feel like he's going to be called for a few penalties during the tournament if he makes it, which he shouldn't.

That's simply untrue. He's been more physical than he usually is tonight, cycled well, played well defensively and made a few decent passes. He's been anything but poor.

Who is Lawson Crouse Playing with???

I have seen him on a couple of lines.

Gauthier and Virtanen for the most part, although Virtanen sat the first 10 minutes of the 2nd period. I like that line, drives possession and should eventually create some garbage goal scoring chances.

A lot of the bubble guys have been very impressive - Point, Paul, Dickinson, Crouse, etc...

Love the top line D-R-D. They will only get better as the tournament goes along.

Need to find the right balance between physicality and discipline. Other than that, very dominant performance thus far.

Dickinson and Chartier seem to be most certainly gone. Haven't noticed Heatherington very much but I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

He hasn't been bad but definitely hasn't been "a force on the ice." It seems almost everyone who mentions Virtanen is a Canucks fan vehemently defending him or declaring him one of the best players on Team Canada.

some of them are not Canucks fans actually. Those names I do not recongnize. Why do you think they are all Canucks fans? Most of the peopel that penciled him in as a top 2 line early in the thread are not even Canuck fans.

Perhaps not poor, but again, I see him getting called for those holds in the tournament and there are better options there. He's simply not one of the top 13 forwards Canada has.

I don't know why people still put Gauthier down, he's been solid so far and his line has been playing well.

But boy, is that first line dominating... :amazed: they are two levels above the Russians.
I like Paul and he's had a pretty good game so far. And to point this out again, I've quite liked Gauthier.

All the defensemen are pretty good IMO.

I can't believe some of these comments, so contradictory to each other.

Yup.

Leafs haters (plenty of them) will be targeting Gautheir
Canucks haters (lots of them too) will be targeting Virtannen.

Ironically both have been pretty good in their roles.

I agree, it's quite comical. A lot of it is personal team biases so you'll never really get a clear picture.

I don't know if you're watching the same game I am but you are saying that tonight, Crouse, Chartier, Dickinson,Dal Colle and even Fabbri have been better than him? WTF

Crouse has been solid on the 3rd line and you could argue Fabbri but otherwise I'd agree with you. Dickinson and Chartier are definitely on the outside looking in IMO.
