Russians have a lot of time and space entering the zone. Also, who was the D-man that got beat wide by the Russian player (Tkachev or Tolchinsky)?

wouldve already had a couple penalties if this were the tournament, virtanen with a total unneeded interference and possibly another from ritchie where it looked like he stuck his knee out a little.. not a definite penalty and would need to see it a little closer but just looked that way

Wow, I didn't realize that Fucale was traded. Big move by Halifax. I wonder if it was because of the world juniors that they did that?

The Moose aren't going anywhere far in the post-season this year so it's better to unload him and focus on rebuilding for the next few seasons. We'll miss him though, had a great run in Halifax.

Yup, IIHF refs would have called both of those. It seems HC drills the need for gritty play into these kids' heads and then they take it a step too far and take stupid penalties year after year.

Exactly what the Blades have done this year. They've traded many of their vets so that the younger players could get a chance to develop. At first, I wasn't happy with a lot of the moves, but it's great for the long run.

my god, virtanen again.. great player but seems reaaaaally immature to me
