Virtanen is a beauty, Canada won that period. Looked really good but a couple of our players fanned on the puck.

Yeah and you tout Lazar all you want as well but at the end of the day all it is is your opinion and you know what they say about opinions :p: I will give you some facts though. Bo is much better in the face off circle, gifted actually as he is has a .560 winning FO % in the NHL where as Lazar is considerably behind but respectable .462. I watched one game in which he won 12 of 13 draws against Chicago and destroyed Toews in the FO circle so we know for sure who is best in FO's. As well, Bo has always been very advanced in the checking department. Think about it. Ottawa deemed Lazar expendable for the Junior tournament meaning they wouldn't miss him much where as Vancouver were not about to let him go. Mind you Kassian is out with an injury as well but still.

Pageau being avaliable is a big reason why Lazar was let go

Sens want to see what he can bring and believe he is ready

This gives Pageau atleast 7 games

Good looking PP and a strong end to the first after the Russians came out strong early. Point, Crouse, and Paul all impressed me.

just seems like he is always looking to punch something, much like ritchie

Something that as a Canucks fan am excited to see, but for this tournament it'll likely land him in the box more often than not. Hope he reels it in just a little bit. Not sure if immature is the right word, just over aggressive.

Canada should care more about playing, instead of just trying to hit everything at every given chance.

Honest question, would you say the same if you weren't a Nucks fan?

Nucks fan or not, I don't want Gauthier on the team.
Hopefully we go with a roster where every player can chip in offensively. Four legitimate scoring lines. We have lots of two way players who can play a shut down game.

Ya exactly, I love that he's aggressive but I'll be even happier if he can be smart enough to know when to tone it down a bit.

His best asset by far, that combined with his reach lets him cover so much ice.

not only that but he can dominate the puck carrier. He is just going to blanket the best players in the game at the next level. Looking forward to seeing him for a long time..

The hockey canada book on how to play the Russians is to hit then hit then hit some more then when the Russians are crying in the locker room go score and win.

Duthie says Paul is 6 foot 3 198 lbs, quite the difference between the 220lbs some were talking about on here and is found some places online. Looked great in the first regardless!

It's hockey still. If it happens in the NHL shouldn't be a problem in Junior. Just say it, i'm just curious what your response will be, curious myself. I hope your not referencing the scrum in the end.....

Canada needs to play a tough physical style to win.
The key is knowing how far to go without crossing the line. Nurse and Ritchie are the two guys I'm worried about based on prior games. If Nurse especially can learn where that line is he can be a really effective player.

Not sure why people have an issue with Canada's physical play. Look at the 2005-2009 teams. Their games were always physical and the wore teams down. It's smart in a tournament if you manage to not take stupid penalties.

I can see Ritchie being cut though. He is good but could be a liability.
