In terms of parking...

Are there any flat parking lots at the new Yankee Stadium or are they all multi level decks? There used to be a flat lot right off the Degan that you could turn into after coming over Macoombs Dam Bridge at the old stadium that you could tailgate in and was also super easy to get out of and back on the Deegan. I heard that is now a deck.

I despise parking decks. You could be out in 5 minutes or 90 minutes depending on where they send you.

those flat lots are still there. i was going to park therebut we decided against it and will be in the multi level lots to cut down on the wind and cold when we're drinking

Good thinking
Thanks for the info.
I may attempt to do some Pork roll, egg, and cheese on the grill.
I might also throw the firepit in the trunk.

here's the rink from the outfield upper deck:

L.A. Sunshine Complicates Ice Maintenance for Outdoor NHL Game

This Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, marks a first for the National Hockey League when the Los Angeles Kings take on the Anaheim Ducks in Los Angeles, Calif., at Dodger Stadium for the first ever outdoor regular season game played in California. Aside from the excitement surrounding the game, the region's weather will pose its own challenges to the rink's construction and maintenance.
After some of the driest months the city has ever seen and a heat wave last week, temperatures on game day will be near 80 F.

Partly sunny skies combined with warm air may threaten the consistency of the stadium's ice rink.

"The sun load will be their biggest nemesis," Co-Owner of North American Rink Builders Rich Palmer said. "Really, the sun is going to be more of an issue than the heat."

Looks like Southside Johnny for NYR-NJD in Bronx, so you've got a Jersey vibe. Not too late for NHL to call Dee Snider. h/t @pmon914

I'm coming to the conclusion that I don't have enough layers to stay warm for three hours outside in 24°.

Think I need to make a stop at EMS tonight or tomorrow to buy long underwear and "real" gloves.

24° ain't 2° it won't be THAT bad, just be smart.

This is pretty much what we all signed up for. I will be ready. I bought a polyethylene shirt as a first layer to deal with sweat(I'll sweat on the way in for sure and that would keep a regular cotton shirt wet & cold) and a thermal shirt to go over it. Maybe I'll add one more layer before my Rangers sweatshirt on the outside. I should probably get myself a scarf too. I bought some hand and toe warmers, polyester socks and thick socks to go over them as my feet get cold faster than normal. I dealt with a mild case of frost bite once after an outdoor roller hockey game, never again. Thankfully this shouldn't be that cold during game time.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do for pants. That seat is going to be cold as hell, jeans alone are a bad idea. I went looking for something insulated & all i could find were snow pants.

Women's leggings underneath. No joke.

Don't forget that inside the stadium, especially if your in the upper decks, with the wind chills it will feel ALOT colder.

Still have two tickets available for the outdoor game on Sunday. Section 128, row 24, aisle seats. Face value for the pair is $400. PM me if you are interested.
