I feel like the NYR threw us season ticket holders under the bus. First off, with all these crazy home stands against out of market teams, it has been nearly impossible to sell games for face due to a flooded market.

AND they forced us to buy both Stadium Series game, and now there are way too many tickets for sale out there and again impossible to sell. I am going to end up burning $1200 worth of tickets for Wed, ABSURDITY!

They didn't force you to buy both games. They offered you an opportunity. The Rangers are the away team and you could have turned it down. After everyone MSG franchise had the opportunity to purchase both games, they offered you the opportunity to buy one.

The issue with that is that by the time this came around, the seat options weren't as good. I'm fortunate that I sold half my Isles tickets at face and I'm going to the other games. I'm bummed that the secondary market sucks, but I don't think anyone on this board would be complaining if the show was on the other foot and they were making money hand over fist selling their seats.

Take the good with the bad....sometimes you are the chicken, sometimes you are the egg.

All true, but you still know that the NHL/Rangers took advantage of the excitement for a local outdoor game to force people to double up with another game, all at over the top of the market prices. Some people are going to lose a lot of money on these games. This is going to hurt the NHL with a lot of the fans here, they really should have thought this through a little more. They'll never be able to get near these prices ever again for an outdoor game after everyone got burned

Agreed. There is certainly NO WAY I will be buying any more of these specialty game tickets, way too much risk after what is going on right now.

Also considering dropping our season tix because of the huge home game stretches that have made selling tickets for face nearly impossible.

CeeLo Green, Michelle Williams and the cast of the Jersey Boys to perform at Yankee Stadium. Is the NHL serious? This is hockey, not theater.

So I decided to go to the Islanders game in style and get a VIP pass for the Legends lounge :D

I was waiting for the price to go down even more but the broker started raising his prices. I figure $150 is a small price to pay for 2+ hours of open bar, all you can eat lobster stations, and oh yeah avoiding frostbite LOL

Look, I'm gonna make a strange proposition here. I'm looking for the hard souvenir tickets to the game on Sunday. I currently have two section 418 tickets that I ordered during the public sale (face is $249). If anyone reading this has extra tickets they are having trouble selling that are the same price, I'll be more than happy to do an even swap plus throw another $20 or so for the hard tickets. At least you can buy yourself two beers on me haha. Inbox me if anyone is willing or has any other reasonable ideas. Thanks.

The schedule is the schedule. This is an Olympic year and there are lots of games with less off days. If you drop your tickets simply for that, you're cutting off your nose to spite your face.

I would just wait out a good price on ebay and pick up a stub there after the game

Got two available for Sunday ... section 420B, row 3. PM with any offer if interested. I am a Devils STH, but I am bringing one Ranger fan, so you can sit next to him :-)

Am I the only one that has ZERO desire to go to these games? The price+the cold= 0% desirable. TV better option for me.

I thought these packages were being sold as an add on? I.e. this does not include game tickets. Did you purchase one? Where are you sitting?

Anybody interested in 2 tickets to Rangers vs. Islanders on 1-29 at Yankee Stadium.
Asking $100 per ticket. Original face value was $299 per tickets.

Tickets are in a great location, section 224 row 16.
These tickets are in the Main level infield and close enough to the action but high enough to see.

great deal....but too cold! You shouldn't have a problem moving these in the next 30 seconds.

At that price I would just go the game. You should have no problem selling these immediately.

I am sick over the price of the tix now....wish I never bought them...paid face value 190 in august from NYR and now my section going for 90 bucks vs isles. Can get way better sections for that price, a real killjoy. WIll never buy tix off the bat again, Ill wait it out IF, I rlly want to go. Hopefully it will be a decent experience wvwn though its going to be about 15 degrees sunday and 2 degrees wednesday night.

As for my season tickets, Idk about you guys, I see alot of people complaining but Ive sold 25 games this season, vs a whole bunch of teams and I havent sold any games for under face value and most of them for double face for Big matchup games. Im in row 2 of blue seats though. IM convinced after studying the seaosn ticket market for a few yrs now, unless your seats are in the first couple rows of the blues or the cheaper 53-57 buck seats with optimum row location, youre going to take a loss on some tickets. You have NOOOO shot if youre in lower bowl or even bottom of 200s.

Actually they were being sold in packages, you had to buy a seat to get the VIP Hospitality. But apparently they weren't selling very well because the brokers and/or ticketmaster start unloading them separately for hundreds $ and then the price started crashing. I'm sitting in front of the goal in the Champions Suites seats, but I bought that separately and then bought the VIP pass for a free meal/booze & warm place to hang out outside of play on the ice

Anyone know if there is anything special going on outside the stadium before the game Sunday? I don't have a ticket, but I am wondering if there is any point in going up to the Bronx to hang around before it starts.
